I probably would use it more often if the vertical aiming gets an improvement.

Yeah that's still a quirk, you can get around it by staying on the flat ground.

Striker is close to useless if there's height difference between you and the enemy.

Since most of the maps in MM have different levels or many walls (or both :( ) it has limited use.

 

Been a while since I've seen Desert. 

 

And did they take Massacre off rotation?

(I know it is not level - BUT - you can actually use the salvo mode there)

Imho Hunter helps out there, you can better tilt it than Viking.

Read your post I responded to - then tell me what is "not true"...

And so I did,

 

There's always flat ground on maps too. I stick to those parts most of the time. It's actually a true midfielder, not so flexible as Thunder but excels at flat ground; when you get the aim right it'll outperform Thunder. But I still mainly play it because no one uses protection modules. 50% protection against Striker is impossible to beat.

 

Also try mouse controls, they are much better than the standard keys. The turret auto-adjusts if you get knocked around so the salvo is a bit more usable.

 

Imho Hunter helps out there, you can better tilt it than Viking.

That's a huge difference indeed, I paired Striker with Hunter after reading your post and there's much more flexibility.

Groundpounds are easier aswell. It sits in the garage with 7/20 though, I'll need to MU it a bit more.

Striker will finally get some alterations..

I hope there's a rapid fire mode available, that sacrifices the lock-on mechanism in trade for smaller, low-damage rockets that have a faster rate of fire :)

I hope there's an alt that fires two rockets out at the same time for a expense of longer reload. That would be a really unique alteration because it's different.

The 90K Striker alt is worth it, massive DPS, you can kill heavy hulls in one salvo.

 

The 8 rocket salvo might seem tempting, but the lock on time makes unusable 8278% of the time.

The single shot ''salvo'' is for noobs who can't aim. I can't find any use for the 200K alt.

the uranium shot alt seems interesting , but it is already hard enough to hit a moving target with the current rocket speed , let alone make it slower

 

the 1 rocket slavo seems also interesting , but again 1 missle instead of 4 basically takes away striker's ability to take out medium hulls in 1 slavo ..

 

I'll just keep my striker as it is right now, for now.

For sure you'll get better when you get more hours into Striker and pare it with mouse controls..

You'll miss out man, the Uranium alt rivals short range turrets.

If it takes me > 24hrs playing to learn how to use it... at that point I have lost interest - especially with the direction devs are going.

I'm a "casual" player, so not really interested in devoting huge amounts of time.  The fun-factor disappears.

 

I have Isida for short-range and Ricco for short-med range. 

Any longer range than medium and it would be mostly luck with single-shots. Would rather just buy thunder.

 

Won't be using it much until they put these alts on sale - they seem to want to gouge early adopters.

oh man i want to try it but it costs a lot (for just a trial) and why on earth did they remove the renting option

I expect it to excel in polygon CP, as the speed of the rocked is not so important there.

You don't even have to hit a enemy.. it's enough if you hit something (the ground, and alley,a wall) in the centeral pit, and there you go.

As they have not reduced the reload (yet?) the DPS is awesome compared to the range you have.

Bought the "salvo-light" for a cheap 20k. 

 

I'm getting a LOT more hits than before.  It's like single-shots most ppl were using but with a 95% guaranteed hit - unlike the single shots before.

 

No longer bottoming-out on scoreboard - the splash damage alone ensures partial kills. 

Helps the turret become actually useable.

 

It's a Win-Win for me.

I was already into striker , man I'm attracted to the turrets that people don't use , i feel it makes me unique .

Kill stealing has never been easier. DM's are a breeze. I mean it deals 2700 damage. That's 83-100% of a medium hull. Boi I love this thing.

 I'm so gonna buy that alt , along with the fast firing alt for smoky ,that thing is a beast lol .

though I'm expecting a nerf soon so I should wait for a while

Be careful guys (and girls of course) if you purchase something because it's sooooo obviously overpowered. Those are usually the first things that are tweaked (like Vulcans burning and Smokys autocannon were nerfed already).
