When the blue team defends the flags, rather than the capturing point, they've got a chance to win. It's still rather hard, it requires people who know how to play in a team, and you will never make the scores of the red team, but it is possible.

Forget what I've said. The map is awesome. If you only play for Reds. It's the best way to make crystals so fast. Cap 2-3 flags during the battle and you'll get nice funds. 370, 448, 443, 534 in my last 4 battles :wub:

 

 

Eh, I played 3 full rounds of it last night, it was pretty good gameplay. On the red team, I used a strategy that got me more crystals than I bargained for. Take,run,cap,kill,die,repeat the process. :D

 

 

For blue team, its a night mare. I suggest to increase the CP score increasing rate for blues.

Not true, they didnt nerfed any turret, they balanced it...as they say. But i dont see anything bad in discounts and paying about 3000 crys ( for my rank ) to make battles and play with no drugs in some of them. Tanki did good job!

I think if players work as a team ( as the game mode says team-red  and   team-blue ), the team that got beter team-work always wins. Its always like that, not only in tanki as a game. If players on blue team organise, get 4-5 mammoths and 4-5 healers to heal each one of them, there will be no chance for them to lose. Other 2 players can be wasp with railguns to snipe the reds in their castle. Very simple if you got team-work. Also in red. You can have 8 runners that will run into 4 different ways ( 2 guys together at same path ), and they can have 4 healers to heal those guys at 4 different paths. Also very simple if you got team-work! The main problem is that teams dont have team-work! Team blue losses because they dont work as a team! And the capturing points is actually excelently balanced, maybe even worse to red team if they cannot capture it. Remember when some blue team leads in noise. They just stack up in their hole of base and get 3 isidas and not any drugger can capture the flag. So shut up haters and play as a team!

I play on the new year map as a red. When the battle ends, I leave a search for another map to play as a red.

I've been doing this too. I enjoy carrying the flag. This was the case last year too.

 

Last year's map was a smaller version of this one. One point and one flag. As such it was considerably more balanced than this year's map since the entire Blue team could focus on defending the various ENTRANCES to the one point. With two points there are just too many approaches to the Blue Capture points. With three red flags in play Blue team doesn't stand a chance.

 

The only Blue strategy I've seen work is to completely abandon the Capture points and drug like crazy to overwhelm the Red base, kill-spawning reds as they appear at all three red flags. Not easy and I have not seen a Blue win yet today, although I expect this will change as players get experience with this map.

Utter crap sales. Most of it involves spending real money in the shop. Much better to wait for the real sales like tankers day. All they will do is nerf what you have in your garage anyway and try and get you to spend more money!

That's a bit harsh, but yeah, I was hoping for 50% off paints and modules. I'll pass on getting Space paint until a better deal comes along, but I will still get a Striker module - probably the one with Rico and Thunder protection - not sure though because I already have Rico-Thunder-Rail on a Kodiak module. IDK.

A fairly large defensive win margin. The team was fairly good about not returning the flag, and also intercepted attackers pretty well. I think the blue team's total points should equal 100, but i guess we can't get everything we want.

That's not been my experience. The game discounts one amount, then applies the next discount to the resulting amount. So a $200 item is reduced by 50% to $100 then a 30% discount is applied reducing $100 to $70. A flat 80% discount would sell a $200 item for $40. Tanki won't give away equipment that inezpensively.

 

I've also seen the game not include Wholesale discounts when items go on event sale.

Nah. Look at the wiki "Did you know"s. Basically it takes the original discount, and then after that it discounts that price.

Anyways, anybody notice the point for capturing flags went from 10 to 5? It's definitely a lot more balanced now, but blue definitely needs to gain points a lot faster, and the limit needs to be increased to compensate for it. Other than that I think the map is quite nice, but unfortunately on my alt none of my turrets are designed for the map.

I played several battles on the blue team and we won. :)

First days games were not even close. Red was outscoring Blue by 10 to 1. And with no supplies Blue could not place mines.

No one wanted to play Blue. As soon as game ended Red would exit.

 

If they have changed the scoring should be much closer.
