New Year 2016 festivities in Tanki Online

It's almost the end of 2016 and all of us tankers always look forward to these holidays specifically in Tanki Online, the decorations, the more frequent gold boxes, the holiday themed map, the discounts and now the gift-giving amongst tankers. Yet in the cheerful and joyous occasions, there is a one thing that has been sticking out not just to me but other fellow tankers: the holiday map.

Although I have not played on it as much as I would like, there is no point in ever playing on a map where you know the outcome of the battle and much more of a reason if most of the time your team is a lot less experienced than the other team. On more than one occasion have members of the blue team abandoned the battle either to go to another battle or worst of all join the red team. Not only does that show the extreme disadvantage for the blue team it illustrates the amount of frustration from the tankers with the bad luck of being on the predetermined losing team. It isn't just the experience of the team but the geography of the map.

Having the blue team have 2 objectives to defend and put them really far apart has its disadvantages but put on top of that defending against 3 incoming flags then that right there is too much to ask for. Splitting the team in two to protect the objectives thins out the team making it easier to defeat and having 3 flags to defend against makes it harder in regards to repetitive infinite-like attacks. When one is pretty weak and is continuously pounded down it is only a matter of time before they buckle under pressure and surrender.

So is the 2016 New Year map unbalanced: absolutely yes, but there is a lot developers can do to improve it. They can decrease the number of objectives and/or flags or they can keep both objectives and just put them closer together. Those are only a few ideas and I'm pretty sure a lot of people can come up with more.

We, the tankers, would hate to not have a holiday map on which to play and celebrate the holidays. Here's hoping we can keep the map with just a little more of balance.

I see premium paints also have discounts , so will that apply on XT ?

A fairly large defensive win margin. The team was fairly good about not returning the flag, and also intercepted attackers pretty well. I think the blue team's total points should equal 100, but i guess we can't get everything we want.

Check your team blue players' ranks & opponent players' ranks --- This is the most worst map in this game. Always favour red side in almost all the battles. Try playing against Legends, you will get a taste of defeat.

Is this battle without drugs ?? If yes, then its OK, otherwise its a rare win by blue team.

I kept on telling my team to buy return the flag and place a mine on one gate and block the other so opponent will step on mine :P .

Still thunder , rail , firebird , vulcan all comes under turrets , so any sale in Turrets as XT turrets also are one of them , so it would also make sense.Like frost paint also is in sale , still premium is required , same goes for XT'S too . Well confusing  :huh:  :huh:

The map is amazing! Thank you for your work! :) It's a bit unbalanced but that's an issue with the point/flag rate, not the map design.

The games are fun.

 

They are a change of pace.

 

If blue is not doing well the game will be over soon.

 

In the meantime it's still fun.

 

After the quick game as blue it is your turn for red. And red iswill never ever lose right? So you've going to have a 50% win rate

 

Except .... I've been on at least three winning Blue teams. A challenge is fun.

 

This map and this format is fun. Did I mention that?

 

I swear I am used to gamers pyssing and moaning but the Tanki community is the biggest bunch of gamer crybabies I've ever encountered. And I've been playing online games longer than some of you reading this have been alive.

Just a question: Say I get a Mastercard or a Visa gift card, would I have to wait until the gift card section comes back, or should I use it under the section where the Mastercard and Visa cards are used? Confusing, I know, but I would like to get the Christmas package - it's a really good deal.

I never said its a great map. I completely agree that its a horrible one. The ranks in that game were actually fairly even between teams. I've played quite a few rounds against almost every rank possible, and as I said, the single win on blue that I had was rare.

Don't - it won't work. I made this mistake last month. The association recently locked down international purchases to prevent fraud and money laundering.

 

Visa MasterCard on Tanki site must be a traditional credit card.

 

Use PaySafeCard instead. Or PayPal if you can.

Please stop moaning about Assault mode on the new map....It also offers DM and TDM. So, if you dont like Assault because this map is unbalanced for blue - it is in my opinion - then stop playing Assault mode and swith to DM mode. It is a great map for DM with many, wonderful hiding spots! :P
