How good is striker?

This might be a dumb question, but shouldn't Striker have the highest DPM of all the turrets currently? Yet it's probably the weakest of them all?

I just calculated Strikers damage per minute and its Salvo DPM (with around 34k) is 2nd behind Twins. The standard Twins has a DPM of 36k. All numbers are on M3 level.

 

Edit: I corrected the values, because I misinterpreted the 0.7 delay time...

Pretty good for defence IMO.. But the 2 barrels thing gets in mah head when I`m firing, I have to remember from which barrel I fired the last arcade < Some epic shots can be pulled off with lockin on ur target when he/she is destroying another enemy, and you can do it from your own base ^_^

To me as a railer, Striker is really nothing to worry about right now, a good Shaft is way more dangerous.

 

Congrats to the Devs for not making a new turrent totally OP (though I doubt this was on purpose, considering how some of the other changes in the game worked out in the past.. :P).

I think Striker needs a  higher level of skill than railgun :P It's a little bit harder to hit your enemies but once you get a better accuracy... you will destroy everything lol.

It was really difficult to get used to striker, but when you know how to use it, u will rule the battlefield... Now i think that i have a good m0 turret that can last me upto WO4.... If one wants to be good at it, practice is needed.... As for the turret, i think it's something really OP.... Something that can be scary on maps like Polygon...

The problem is, that you don't shoot every single moment with Striker. My personal opinion is that the rockets should be faster.

You are making me to have second thoughts about Shaft m2. I tried m0 at my low account and I really couldn't make fast xp or rule any battle. But I am sure that choose the right map/game mode I can do it. As for the hull, my only option is viking m2. Can u help me?

Shaft is the best for killstealing in polygon dms. My advice to you in dms: Get in a good camping spot and just steal all the kills.

I don't know much about striker m2, but i read somewhere that shaft becomes a monster at m2.. hehe.. try to practice striker in your alt. but if you don't like it, don't buy it... shaft is still one of the best ones

Guys, I play Polygon DMs a lot and i come in top 3 using striker... I will be a WO2... just need 500xp...and in few weeks i will be a WO3"... so my question is that should i buy striker m1 straightaway (coz at that time, i will have enough crystals) or wait for a kit including striker m1?

Shaft is at the better end of the spectrum in terms of M2s; probably the 3rd best, only surpassed by Twins and Smoky. Would have been surpassed by Firebird, but it's not due to the lack of afterburn on Firebird (unless alteration, then Fire is better).

I played for a couple of hours earlier today. Didn't see a single Striker. Not a good sign - because if it becomes viewed as weak, my fear is Tanki will give it a huge buff, after which Strikers will run amok across every battle on every server. :(

I think its very weak in DM, need to mine off your own area to save yourself from short range attacks.  Needs buffed, but playable.

So today I saw a few Striker users who knew what they were doing. I don't use the turret so I can't comment on what exactly they learned but they kept me on my toes.

 

And then there was one guy with a Hornet who tried to go head to head with my Hammer Viking. Not a good idea.
