[Declined] Event paints for everyone not only for druggers.

Recommended Posts

Hello!

As helloween paint.. x-mas paint showed...

They are made for buyers only which i hate.

Immagine yourself as newbie to this game and you see that there is temp paint in the shop which you realy want.. it unlocks at your rank (recruit) and it costs only 150 000 crystals..

Yeah ik it takes about 8-9 kills for recruit to get those 150 000 crystals for that paint but... (Sarcasm)

ok ok...

But seriously as me being a newbie i would like to get something without needle to buy anything.. cuz lets see.. Would you invest a lot of money in game as recruit when you dont even know if you like this game BUT if you will like it later you can say to others... Well i was there when that happened..

There's plenty of paints available to buy for crystals. Nothing wrong with having just a few Shop-exclusive ones, especially since they have no effect on gameplay. Or would you rather if developers sold more powerful equipment in the shop instead?

I would rather that. All paints should be free, and they should be available to unlock after completing missions, acheivements, and when you rank up you get a free paint of your choice.

This may seem bad and unblancing to the ''eco-nomic'' (money) part of Tanki, but paints are useless in Tanki. They don't even work as a good camouflage despite what map you are in. Camo would work better on soldiers not tanks, which are huge and pretty easy to spot.

The maps in Tanki don't exactly hide Tanks which are bright colors.

If paints no longer hold any protection than who decides weather they look good or bad? Is it up to the developers to decide what colors are good and what colors are bad?

I would rather that.

That was a rhetorical question. Most players in Tanki are not buyers, so if developers were to add exclusive overpowered items to the Shop, there would be an outrage and more negative responses than any update ever released before.

U didnt understood. I told NOTHING about shop paints but garage paints.

150 000 crystals for paint in recruit rank... Can you get that without buying? Tanki has told multiple times that they want everything to be aviable for ALL players. What does this means? It means if i unlock something i dont need to spend money to get that stuff and 150k for recruit defeats that point completely.

Paints which will stay forever can be expensive yes... Players can rank and get that later but srsly? If i join the game and i have to earn 150k in about a week as a recruit.... ITs kinda impossible. Dont you think so?

Also...

Ego means a lot in gameplay. Paints mean ego. If you think ahh- i dont have anything... Bla bla bla and your life is crap.. you play like crap.

Lets say now u got paint and noone else in battle has it. Then you think-OO im the only one with it! im the best looking... Bla bla bla... Hes ego grows and to feed hes ego he is trying to show the best from the best what he can....

Paints means ego... Ego means better player.

Well, by the looks of how many overcocky xp players ive beaten even though i never use railgun i think its safe to say ego /= good player.

The paint is technically available to all players. Most just can't afford it. There's a difference between availability and affordability. That's perfectly fine. I would happily play on green paint forever if it means that buyers don't become op.

The event paints are a bit of a first in Tanki's history, given that they are 100% only available to people who buy crystals. Even the ridiculously pricey Golden Star paint can theoretically be purchased by a non-buying player provided they have the crystals and some Premium time from a daily mission, while, say, the Zombie paint that was offered this Halloween is completely off limits unless you buy crystals. This is understandably frustrating; the Spangles and Snowflake paints offered right now do look pretty cool, but it's impossible for free players to get them no matter how many crystals you have saved up.

Still, it is important to understand why this was done. There needs to be some incentive for buying crystals, because otherwise the developers would get no income. The game does a good job of incentivizing crystal purchases, seeing as how a typical free player would not be able to buy the entire M2 garage within the middle ranks and would take a long time to purchase all the M3s. However, there is a limit to how much the developers can edit the game to make crystal purchases appealing. If they made the game too brutal for those who don't buy, the free players would be driven away, and the community would shrink drastically. Because of this, they also need to find alternate routes to get people to buy crystals, and these event paints are a way of doing that.

Paints have no gameplay benefits besides camouflage, and even that is kind of insignificant (the best camouflage paints are all cheap and available for crystals). Because of this, they are a good way to attract people to buying crystals without necessarily making the game hard for nonbuyers. If I went ahead and bought the current special offers, I would get some nice paints that I would enjoy, while nonbuyers wouldn't suffer from me just having a different paint. The bundles still give crystals (obviously) and supplies, which would give me an advantage over others, but that's kind of the point of buying crystals. The bottom line is that these event paints are an easy and relatively ethical way for the developers to give goodies to buyers. The Shop paints operate entirely on this principle.

The developers could put the event paints in the garage and make them available for crystals, but the paints would lose some of their exclusivity (Golden Star wouldn't be very special if everybody was running around with it) and there would no longer be an incentive to buy crystals specifically for them. I suppose they could jack up the prices to Golden Star levels to help maintain the exclusivity, but you'd run into the same problem of people disliking that the paints are behind a paywall.

Ideas for reducing the prices' items are not accepted.

im not asking to reduce prices for current equipment.

Just next time when they create paint they may think about making it cheaper. If that paint (unreleased) doesnt have price yet then it means its not reducing price.

But im talking about garage paints not shop paints. Im talking about new year 2017 paint and such.

Those paints are already in garage for TOO hight price. Golden star can be bought at the rank when it unlocks or when you reach that rank without hurry but those holiday paints is whole different story. They disapear after week or so. That means its impossible for recruit to buy this paint no matter how hardcore player he is.

Well, Holiday paints keep coming. I wanted to buy Moon Walker but I was only Sergeant or so and I fell short of 500 crystals. That's just tough luck. In a nutshell, it's not necessary to buy these paints hence the high price is justified.

( Like, come on... Even in real life there are limited edition stuff which one can't buy then due to lack of money -_-... They're limited edition for a reason. And it's not the end of the world if you don't buy it)

Beaku... Moon Walker had rank limitations and from sergant rank i think it was possible to save up 500 crystals. But its not possible for recruit to save 150k

Dude Tanki wants money, they don't care if players get annoyed. Would you care if one player left when you have 60k playing your game? I mean I would, and I'm sure you would too but Tanki... if those other players have money they'll open the door for that one player to leave and let in the buying players.

Tanki is designed so that you can't buy any cool equipment without buying crystals.

My friend who is not buying that much and is average player (1 rank above me) still havent got full m2 garage. Hes best combo is rail/hornet or rail/fire... :/ While im being a buyer already have full m2 garage and some m3 items

It's not recommend to buy a full M2 garage anyway. My own garage is quite decent considering that I'm a non buyer (please don't say mod pay.. I've only recently become a mod and haven't yet spent any of those crystals -_-).

Altogether, I just want to propose that paints be free and not be included in product kits, as they occupy 1/2 of the price and some look reallly bad.
