I've made a little Google spreadsheet where you can calculate prices for micro-upgrades and speed ups. I tried to search if anyone has done similar "calculator", but couldn't find any. I'm not a professional with Excel nor Google sheets and solely do this as a hobby. So if there is similar calculator, this topic can be locked !

Since it's Google sheet, it's a bit tricky to share it in a way that users are not messing with others calculations. I tried to solve this issue by making 5 copies of the original sheet, they're linked in the end of this topic. If you open one of the links and you see someone is already using it, please try another link. 

 

What it can do and how it works?

Currently it has two visible tabs: "MU PRICE CALC" and "STEP CALC". The sheet has prices of every modification of every turret, hull and module (excluding Legacy modules).

 

Every price for everything is kind of directly taken from Tanki Wiki. I've one of my Excel worksheets connected to every necessary table in Tanki Wiki, and those tables are copypasted to this Google sheet. Hence when the time comes to update these prices, I can do it pretty easily with few clicks.

 

MU PRICE CALC

With this, you can calculate how much it would cost to upgrade your equipment, no matter what level it currently is or to what level you wish / can upgrade it. It is possible to input % of sale for micro-upgrades and speed ups.

 

You can simultaneously calculate 3 different equipments and have their prices summarized. You can also input the amount of your crystals, and see how much you need more or how much will be left.

 

If you're trying to count many upgrades (for example 0 --> 200) with discounts, it most likely won't give you exactly correct price due to roundings. 

 

STEP CALC

This tab can be used to determine how many levels you can upgrade your equipment if you have x amount of crystals. It can give you the levels with or without a discount.

Instructions for "MU PRICE CALC"

 

 

1. Select hull, turret or module
2. Select subcategory
3. Select modification
4. Input the current step of your equipment
5. Input the step you wish to upgrade your equipment to
6. Input % of the micro-upgrade discount | CURRENTLY SET TO 25% AND CAN NOT BE CHANGED
7. Input % of the speed up discount | CURRENTLY SET TO 25% AND CAN NOT BE CHANGED
8. Select what price you want to see
   - MUs and SUs: shows prices for both, micro-upgrades and speed ups
   - MUs only: shows price only for micro-upgrades
   - SUs only: shows price only for speed ups
9. Select if you want to include the price of last speed up
   - If "Yes" is selected, it will show the full price
   - If "No" is selected, it will subtract the price of last speed up from the total price
10. When you're done, please put value for "Hull / Turret / Module" as "1. SELECT" and value for the subcategory as "-"

 

Possible false results:

1) If "Current step" is equal to or higher than "Target step", it will give zero as a result

2) If "Current step" is higher than the maximum possible upgrade level of that equipment, it will give zero as a result (can only happen with modules, since some of them only have 5 levels)

 

 

 

Also, at first the sheet can be a bit laggy, especially with drop down menus - so please be patient. If one of the drop down menus freezes or totally glitches, select the cell and press Delete, then simply try to use the menu again.

 

If you encounter any issues, hugely false results or other errors / problems (also grammar errors), please let me know so I can check and try to fix it. Also ideas and suggestions are welcome    :)

I'm glad if this is useful tool for someone. I know Google spreadsheet is not the most ideal or handy way to share this, but it's something. It would be possible to make downloadable Excel version of this which would be faster and probably little more reliable as well.

 

I hope that everyone who uses this sheet to get real prices for something he/she is really going to upgrade, and later finds out the price was false (lets say margin of error ±100 crystals), would contact me or report it in this topic.

I tried to search if anyone has done similar "calculator", but couldn't find any.

I made one ages ago but only shared on a google drive for my friends. It saved tons of crystals being wasted. It too imported the information from wiki. I've deleted it now and don't have a copy because it's so outdated. Still I'd recommend anyone use a spreadsheet like it to save you from wasting unnecessary crystals. It takes a lot of work to make something like this! Appreciate it!!

Also Levissio to solve your problem with sharing the Google Docs just tell everyone to make a new copy for themselves for convenience, and this way we can all use the calculator without conflict.
