Allow alterations in XP/BP battles

Recommended Posts

I recently bought railgun alteration, why is this that alterations are not allowed in XP/BP?

Can't there be two types of railgun

One with faster reload and less damage

One with longer reload and more damage (since this is no benefit because of protection) it can get added impact power to flip hulls like the old railgun?

What's your opinion

I don't think it would be a good idea for official XP/BP battles. It would mean unbalance in fighting, also upgrades are disabled for the same reason; to keep the battle fair and in balance. Hence why M2-M3 can only join XP/BP battles.

Alterations would eliminate the fairness, some players will have faster reloading then others, some will do more damage, etc.

Idk. I don't play format battles much lately and barely even tried it after the balance changes. So I really don't care much about such minor changes.

Alterations can be turned off, is not an option nice?

They both are balanced because of modules

Under review

[fmtb] [btpt] [wpn]

There should be a special Allitertaion for M2 Railgun only so it can kill m3 rail in 2 shots, after the game rebalance xp.bp is completly ruined for m2s.

please fix that ASAP.

is this a minor change when you are being 2 shots and the oponents with m3 is 3 shots. its unfair.

Tbh, I thought they were allowed in XP/BP Battles if the "alterations" box was selected as on but I'm not sure. Anyways, XP/BP is supposed to be a format where everyone is equal and it was pretty much just that prebalance. I don't think they should be allowed and I agree with Maf, level up and get M3 Rail. ;)

I think i agree with this idea proposed because it really shouldn't change Xp/Bp too much. It would allow players the chance to personalise themselves in Xp/Bp battles and adjust their gameplay (so that it suits them better). Plus, it would make the game play more complex and engaging.

Exciting idea

To prevent a mixing of alteration and non-alteration equipment and to keep the equipment the same, there could be one XP/BP mode with high caliber ammo one without.

When following this and if high caliber ammo is allowed, then it will be only in that way that all people in there have it. This is either ensured by an equipment check when entering an XP/BP battle (like it is for Rail+Wasp/Hornet check) or the Rail is automatically enhanced by the format battle so that all people get it equipped even if they haven't bought this alteration. As far as I know, the shell stabilization alteration is always equipped in XP/BP and cannot be deactivated and it's even for those haven't bought it. I cannot assess if this conflicts with high-caliber ammo tho, because then there would be two alterations of the same modification level equipped...

Then level up and buy it!

No that is no option for the long stretch when you have m2s. And the discussion is about mixing alterations or at least having the choice.

If you want to play XP/BP without alterations then play it, but there should at least be the option, after this updates railgun m2 is pretty useless.

Care to say why?

They should be mixed each have drawbacks and advantages.

I kind of like this idea, as this could make gameplay in XP/BP more interesting and varied. For instance, while I think that high-caliber ammo is considerably better in normal battles, I don't see it so clear under the specific conditions of XP/BP.

However I think it should be made an option to allow alterations in XP/BP, rather than having it as standard. After all, it could be that Rail with alterations turns out to be significantly superior, so there should still be the possibility for XP/BP without it..
