invalid Option to play with the old graphic, in Settings.

Hello dear friends of Tanki, I have played since 2013, and so I did not have the opportunity to play with the old graphics, I have also seen that a lot of people who play the game almost from the beginning, miss those graphics, I know I do not know You can return to an old update after changing, but I think if you add an option in Settings, to play with the old graphic, I would not be violating that rule, since it will not supplant the current graph that is also very nice, but It would only be optional for the players, who would play with the graphic that they like, without affecting the playability of the game.

 

I hope you understand what I mean. If possible, I would be very happy with that.

The reason it seems that the majority of players want old graphics is because those few players who do want them simply complain a lot about it, while those in favour of new graphics are fine with them and just keep on playing quietly. So an option to use old graphics won't actually be used by that many players.

 

However, I do agree that some aspects of old graphics (e.g. the old Viking M3) arguably looked better back then, so having this option could be a nice alternative. Only if it could be just the tank textures, since the maps just looked absolutely terrible.

 

I think a much better alternative to this is the idea is having custom resource packs which would allow players to replace whichever textures or sounds they dislike.

Or please make an even lower graphics option because some people (like me) I know can really run tanki online, I know it sound stupid but its true. so i would like it so you remove the bushes or other stuff like that so i can get at least 30 fps and i can play tanki :D

Those old texture buildings had more details than todays do! :P

 

I'd personally be in favor of this, its not like they really need to do much other than code a settings option into the game. They would have all the old textures saved already.

 

I have a feeling this would be a client exclusive though, because its what the game would need to load in from the beginning, not just a feature that could be turned on/off at will, example like 'dust' feature.

There is one mod or something that does exactly that. I believe that_one_michael covered it. Search up old tanki that one michael on google im sure it will pop up

Hmm, in my opinion no. Because the player that is using the different graphics setting will just be seeing tanks like that, if someone else in the battle doesn't have the resource pack/doesn't have that setting on, they would see him/her as a normal tank. Only the user who will activate the option/resource pack will see the tanks like that, others won't see him as a old hornet + ricochet. But, I can be wrong though.

Highly unlikely because it won't be sending/receiving more data than it currently would. Remember its just a visual difference for the user and would be completely the same weather you had the old or new graphics on. Its basically just changing a texture pack, nothing more.
