For capture the flag most of the time teammates are pushing each others tanks so they can take the flag. This means that you are fighting against your own team for the flag. My suggestion for capture the flag would be that there should be a button that essentially 'locks' your tank onto the flag point. This will stop other players from being able to push your tank off the point when you have been waiting for the next flag. This will create less disruptions to the game. Additionally, the flag point should have a timer set so that a player cannot just lock themselves onto the point the whole game. This kind of system would work well in AS mode as the opposite team does not need to capture any points so if you lock yourself onto the flag point it does not get in the way of the opposite point still getting points.

Unnecessary feature that would cause a lot more problems, for example being able to sabotage your team by not letting them take the flag. If you and your team are sitting in the enemy base and fighting over who will take the next flag, then it's no longer a proper battle and you should either switch teams to balance forces, quit the battle, or patiently wait for the round to be over.

I don't have a problem with my own teammates pushing me to get the flag, I usually drop the flag just so I don't have to deal with them (the flag is their problem at that point) :P which usually allows me to toast the opposition even more :P :D :ph34r:

People just sitting on the flag point waiting for the next flag is extremely annoying - get out and help your team out who may be struggling to CAP or return or something.  You are most likely doing no good sitting there waiting for someone else to do the hard work and gift you points.

 

I realise in certain situations you can sit on the flag and still be active but most of the time people are not.

 

Multiple tanks fighting over who gets the next flag is even worse as none of you are helping the team and moreso you are weakening it.
