A general guide to tanki online

Hello tankers! Today i will show you some of my vast knowledge of the game we all LOVE SO DEEPLY.

But whats this, i hear you saying? "Ive read countless guides on playing the game and have learned everything there is to know!"

This guide doesnt go over any of the common things most guides would! Instead this guide will teach you the most useful techniques in the entire game.

Lets begin, first of all we have equipment.

What equipment should you buy? Which is the best? The answer is thunder! But oh-no! The triggered staff will tell you that there is no "best" turret or hull. This is a LIE

After countless rebalances and parameter tweaks, the devs still havent gotten balance complete. Why? Because when they constantly make one turret or hull "better" than all the others, people will buy them. And then in the following month the OP turret gets nerfed into oblivion and another turret becomes OP. Now all the free players who saved up for a sale will have a useless turret and buyers will just find something else to MU 50/50. More money for the devs, less hair for the rest of us.

Next up is the economy.

At the current economy, the only way to win games is to use only 1 turret/hull combo and save for MUs or kits. Most players fall into the death trap of garage diversity. In fact, i would recommend that you just create a separate account for each turret you want to use. What happens if you go for garage diversity? You end up like me. No good hulls, no good turrets. Still using smoky m1. Cant do anything against buyers with 50/50 annihilator or aborigine kits. Meanwhile, people farm daily missions and get godlike amounts of crystals like C_H_A_M_P_I_O_N. All of his equipment were m2 before he got to wo4. It took him 5 months to do that, and get this, he shames people for drugging because "its imbalancing the game".

And then we have gold boxes, everyones favorite thing.

How do you get gold boxes? Use wasp and bump on top of other tanks? Use dictator and drive straight into the middle? Drive off a ramp and collect it in the air? Well your all wrong. You get gold boxes by lagging.

Step 1. Get bad internet.

Step 2. Drive straight into the tank pile.

Step 3. Collect gold box while you jump through all the tanks.

An alternative method is to disable your internet right when someone is about to take the gold box, drive into it and quickly before you get removed from the game take a screenshot and complain to tech support. Easy 1000 crystals.

Now lets take a look at the moderation of the game.

In the forum, if you break a rule theres a 90% chance your post will be hidden, a 5% chance you get banned for it and a 5% chance it gets ignored. Why? The staff cant decide between a warning/ban or a post to be hidden. For reference, ive seen someone (not gonna throw out names here) constantly troll people and only get their posts removed. Even through an entire WEEK of constantly trolling. But GOD FORBID i call riddler_8 stupid.

And the reports section? Dont bother using it. The staff have told us countless times to not use it because it wastes their time when they could be banning people before too many rules are broken. So why does it exist?

You get no reward, and people just use alts to evade. Nobody wins.

And finally, esports.

I know a lot of people want to become part of a big clan and fight for the top position, but its completely hopeless. Unless your a russian, the esports moderators will do anything and everything to make you lose. Do i even need to link a topic? Just go to the esports section of the forum and on the first page youll always find something about biased russian mods. Remember the spring showdown? How the international team were beating the russians in practice? Suddenly, in the real game they started playing poorly. Why? Take a guess.

Now that your armed with valuable information on the game that no wiki will ever give you, go kill some noobs. But not if theyre the buying kind of noob, in that case leave the game because your just ruining your xp/crystals ration.

1. Equipment

Ahem.. Need I say more?

2. Economy

Micro upgrades are expensive. The rest isn't. It's perfectly possible to have more than 1 hull and turret without buying a single crystal. Many players have done it, it just takes some good planning and you have to make the right choices.

3. Golds

Won't say more about this than saying that I think the gold system used to be far better in the past.

4. Moderation

If you have a problem with that, contact the administrators, or even the community manager. Another idea could be to apply for moderator yourself. Reason punishments differ between players depends on karma, what kind of violation it is and seriousness of the violation.

5. eSports

Spring Showdown had nothing to do with Russian esports mods. And it wasn't practice where we were winning, it was the real deal. But due to players losing their connection (for which ever reason it was) all the time, it was decided to postpone the match.

You got real defensive at the moderation and esports part

Well, it's a fact that moderator stuff has to be dealt with in private with the admins and/or cm. We can't say that enough.

As for the esports part, I was in the INT team, so basically I was on the receiving end of all the bad things that went on during that showdown. Wouldn't make sense for me to defend RU esports mod if they were to blame for it all. And it's no use pointing fingers at others that might be to blame for it either. It happened and it sucked, but we had a lot of fun also.

  apply to become moderator yourself, worst suggestion ever.It would take over month just to find out if your application has been accepted and then another few months/weeks for work and after that you MIGHT get to be moderator which means..have to replying to noobs trolling, deleting all those stupid topics, reviewing sections of forum to make sure it's being viewed by people and need to be 100% perfect and talk like a robot.enjoy being moderator!

Didn't take months for me though, nor for other mods I know. Of course if you don't like the tasks that come with the helper position, you shouldn't apply. xD
