Read the title and came here to rant about drugs.

 

Saw the poll..... :lol: nope.

Except a rant on drugs is coming anyways:

 

Think of the problem like the real world's problem with drugs:

 

They are too easy to obtain, too easy to abuse, and those who do abuse them don't think it's all that big of a problem until it's too late. Personally, I'd say make supplies and supply kits more expensive, but of course, there's always some kind of hidden hindrance that would completely ruin game balance should that happen, so instead of blatantly shouting out something that will easily get shot down, here are the problems. Why not the solutions instead? Well, I'm no expert on Tanki, and neither are the rest of you non-veterans (or in my case, non-players), but seeing as I know enough to understand what I dislike about drugs, I can jot those down here instead. A conclusion comes after.

 

1. After Warrant Officer 2 roundabouts, it is ridiculously easy to obtain drugs. If you didn't waste every last crystal you had from the previous rank-ups on worthless things, and I know of not one person who would legitimately do that, then you would go for kits. It's the logical choice, and I've seen it happen often enough. Thing is, you get free supplies with kits. That would be nice to have, but giving away 100-200 of each supply per kit is a bit overkill, especially at those ranks. Along with that, placing even semi-decently in contests, completing daily missions and week loops, and farming the above two processes allows for insane levels of drugs at a rank. And it gets worse at around Generalissimo level play, where crystals don't have to be used on turrets or hulls.

 

2. Admit it, it's fun destroying teams by yourself. I've done it, you've done it, I'm sure everyone on this topic has done it at least once - press 2, 3, and 4, get the trigger finger on 1, drive into enemy base with a mammoth, and watch your K/D soar beyond humanely possible levels. It's great fun to do this to others, but when everyone does this, things get out of hand. I don't need to describe this because we all know what it feels like.

 

3. Don't downplay it. Take a recent look at those publicly retiring in the forums and you'll see a lot of them are either tired of overexaggerated toxicity, or the gameplay itself, aka. Drug Wars. It's a serious problem, don't deny it. Again, I don't need to describe this much either, since this is rather out in the open.

 

So what to do?

 

1. Make supplies harder to obtain, even if in some small way.

2. Force users to spend their drugs carefully, be it via a longer cooldown time, a shorter use time, whatever is best for balance.

3. Don't ignore the problem. Simple.

Actualy drugs should be changed. Dropboxes may stay the same but drugs should be 50% weaker except for speed boost and Repair Kit.. And mines too.

Also i would like to see change in difference between buyer and non-buyer.

I'd tweak that some...

 

Make DD & DA give +50% instead of +100% (as above)

Make RK more expensive (200 crys or 250 crys) and have only 1/3 quantity in supply kits.

 

Drop-boxes follow similar pattern - they still give too much benefit - especially when a team controls map through sheer numbers = game over.

The spawn-killing teams showing up in your base with drop-box power-ups make battles unplayable.

I would make paints cost less than they did when they had protections,also make them available for all ranks,also a sell option for paints/modules/hulls/turrets,and a fire wasp mode,and would make a lottery,you choose a card and if you get the card with the correct number you get a prize when you enter the game everyday (daily missions would still be there) also a new game mode,power destruction,one both teams have power cores on there side (the power core is where the flag would go in ctf) and the teams have to try and destroy the opposing teams power core before there own one is destroyed,if both cores are intact,the one which came the closest to destruction is the losing side,also each core has 2000 hp

Guys if every gold costed over 10k then everyone would have all of the best stuff...Is that what we want?Everybody drugging and having a tank just as good as any buyers tank would be unfair to the buyers because they bought good stuff for real money and now buyers equipment wouldn't be considered good.The price of goldboxes will stay the same forever no matter how much people wants this.Tanki cant upset the game balance. :mellow:

Power cores are are a horrible idea because for ranks like mine the power core would be destroyed in seconds,if not milliseconds.M2 Smokey on double damage will have to take 3 shots on it and it would break.Shaft m0 on double damage could easily destroy it.Striker m0 on double damage could send out 4 missiles easily because the power core would be a non-moving object.My guess is that to make it fair the power cores at my rank would have to be 50k Hp for us to have any fun at all.

Of all the things to wish for - why this?

 

it's not like you need a specific paint to be successful - they don't do anything for you in battle.

 

it's more like the other way-round - you can get the paint because you are successful.

I think da kit 'Tornado' should be available n garage instead of shop.& many kits r available in shop & not in garage.& premium acc should be longer

dat  r earned through missions.

well first of all, with the changes to rail, I cant go to sleep thinking that a matrix kit can beat a legend kit , I also think that kit names are messed up, like who names a kit Buffalo with zebra paint, I mean, there's some messed up logic too like, railgun can shoot through 2 completely metal tanks, but can't shoot through a tree, also they didn't make a kit for m1 viking/hammer yet, but they made kits for striker as soon as it came out. and most of all, WHY ARE PAINTS 300K?

It would be great if that house in sandbox would be removed.

Maybe put some trees on its place, because blue team has in XP/BP battles really big advantage if they go and camp behind it. It just isn't funny anymore if people are going behind it.

Not really, the map is totally balanced cause the trees in the blue base offer camouflage and so the red team members get to hide there without getting noticed ;)

It depends of your paint tho. If you have a flashy paint, bushes or not bushes, enemy will be able to see you. Besides, bushes can't stop à shot, and the house does.

And if enemy hits "V" key won't someone in trees be revealed?
