Protection against special abilities

How about a prot, that offers lesser protection against similar kinds of weapons.  For arguments sake given that they both do splash damage, and you have a shell/rocket, Something that worked for both striker and thunder, but less than you'd get from something designed for one or the other.  The next 2 would probably be something like rail/smoky, perhaps twins/rico.. 

 

Just another far out idea from

Doesn't really make much sense, since each turret has its own unique special ability. Splash damage is pretty much the only "special" similarity between any two given turrets.

What about concepts like "plasma" (rico/twins) or "temperature" (fire/freeze/vulcan) or "impact" (smoky/hammer) or "penetration" (railgun - forever alone since shaft left)

I still don't like the idea of introducing this concept. Makes the protections system a lot more complicated with little to no improvement to the game overall. Like, what good does it do for modules as a whole?

We don't have certain protection combinations in the existing set of modules. So maybe fill in those gaps?

I'm more supportive of the idea to just implement custom modulrs where the player can choose any combination of protections.

this module will reduce the freeze slowness effect by 10% and the firebird "heating" fire effect by 10 %

 

 

 

if u have this module equipped the freeze wont slow that much

 

 

and the firebird heating wont last long instead it will disappear faster

 

 

 

 

hope its a good idea

I doubt it. I think they just covered the most popular combinations.

It was written like what i said, dont remember in wiki or the main post of the update, but it was written that combinations were made to balance the game.

Weird. I don't really see how having half of the players use Railgun and Thunder protection brings balance to the game  -_-

That where the balance is. Players tend to buy protection module that protects from common turrets. Instead of combining the 3 most common turrets in one module. You can only find modules that have protection from 2 common turrets and 1 uncommon turret.
