Oh my God!

That's just a GAME after all.

Such strict rules are not even in military base. huh. ..

There's no association of game with rules. Games are just a little entertainment for those who don't play outside. for those who don't wanna play with others. But yea, spamming, flooding, trolling, use of abusive words etc should be punished.

There's no aspect of the world without rules. Rules exist everywhere and for a good reason. You can't expect things to work perfectly in an organized manner without rules.

I acknowledge they're forbidden, I just don't agree why they should be :)

Yes, I'm also aware that scams happen, what I meant to say was in this case, no harm was done... if no one ever complains about it, then I guess everyone's happy.

Well, that I just don't agree with :)

I honestly dislike the idea of shared accounts simply due to the mental aspect; that you can't be proud of 'that new turret ' you got since most of it isn't your work anyway. But blocking an account FOREVER for someone passing it down to someone is just... ehhh

Maybe so. But try to look from Tech Support's point of view. All they know is that account was traded. They don't know the reason behind it and hence they make an unbiased decision to block it since it breaks the rules. The philosophy here is not to make any exceptions. For every 100 punished(even in real life), there is at least 1 who, by common sense, should not be punished. But make 1 exception and you'll have to be accountable for it. You'll have to give 1000 explanations to 1000 people as to why you didn't stick to rules this time. And then other people will pester you trying to prove themselves innocent too. It's just impractical. Hope you understand how this all works (even in real life!).

Maybe he's older than you. You should learn from him.

False. Some users sell accounts for money and whatnot, some share them to boost their ratings / equipments, others trade them for other games' accounts and whatnot. All these activies are FORBIDDEN. There are some other online games that allow accounts' sharing, but this is not the case and will never be.

No one is hurting anyone? Tell that to someone that got scammed while selling / buying / trading an account and lost moneys or who knows what. Tell that to someone that shared his account with a friend and found out his friend ruined his account, lead it to be banned / blocked or stole it completely.

No harm, you say? Then you are speaking biased and blind words, sorry.

Also, as I already explained, time here doesn't matter — it can take hours, days, weeks, months or years, but the very first time you commit a violation, you already know you went against the Rules, no excuses. So, whenever a ban / block comes, you have no one to blame but yourself.

If someone reported him, Tech Support monitored the account, its logs and then verified if the report was real, then blocked him (if the report was not valid, nothing would have happened). If no one reported him, it may be that he committed some suspicious actions like changing passwords or emails too frequently and from different IPs (for example), thus leading to higher controls and monitoration on said account till finding that it was not used by its real owner. All the above can take ANY time period, it is not specified anywhere nor it has to be.

Btw,

I have known of people getting banned while they were traveling and might have played TO.

What if someone's profession requires him/her to travel a lot?

Is it against the rules to play this game on different IP address with the same account?

I may have created my account at home but I had to go out on work and decided to play for a bit in a different country. Does that justify me getting banned for playing from a different timezone and IP?

This rule requires some reworking.

I travel a lot too. In fact, while processing my moderator application I was told that my IP's were spread all over the country and I gave a legitimate explanation for it. It's not a problem until your ip suddenly changes halfway around the world within a few minutes. That's an extreme example, but things like that are taken into consideration.

As I said before, how can you enjoy games if they also contain a BIG set of rules. We already have enough rules to follow in our real lives.

There's only one way, read all of the game rules or just play the game. And I think there ain't many players in Tanki who have read all the rules.

We don't need examples.

This sentence is a huge, MASSIVE contradiction itself.

Sorry, whoever you are, but Game rules are clear and easily understandable: trading, selling or sharing accounts is FORBIDDEN, in any form and at any time.

You have been using an account which was not yours for 2 years or more yet claim you were not violating the Rules during the last 6 months? You actually have been violating them for the past 2+ years, as soon as you started sharing the account!

So, Tanki Online Tech Support (which is not an Helper, not a "noob Admin", but a GROUP of paid employees working with the game's technical stuffs including accounts and major violations such as the one mentioned above) blocked your account for good.

It may take weeks, months or years to verify that an account was traded, sold or shared, it all depends on your actions and also if someone reports you / your account, but do not expect to be safe — once you violate the Rules, your violation will be found. Maybe not today nor tomorrow, but anytime in the future it will be found and you'll face appropriate consequencies.

The only person to blame is you and no one else, the only one violating the Rules was you.

U don't know how many rules u can break in tanki without bring discovered LOLlLL

U do realise many of the reputable staff members shared accounts if they were away during sales so their friend could buy equipment for them..dont pretend tanki catches everyone LOL, they catch 1% which is a statistic from Tanki itself, lol.

Rules are rules... Rules are meant to be broken, there is no such thing as a perfect player nor person, but sadly life is life. If people bring you down, never let them.... (ok i stop with my "inspirational" speech).

I never knew you, but good luck :)

Damn... This sucks. You were a good guy. We'll miss you.

Just for you beaky. Posting songs isn't actually against the rules. Just so you know.
