Different sounds for Isida depending on the team it's on

I don't know if this has been suggested before, or if it's feasible, but how about making the sonic buzz on Isidas different from each other depending on whether they are blue or red team tanks.

 

Idk about anyone else, but I've lost count of the amount of times I thought I was being healed only to find I was being Isidered (?) up the bottom by an enemy tank during heated battles.

 

What say you folks, sound (sic) idea or not?

This would be a good feature, but it doesn't really make sense to add different sounds for Isida only. After all, it's the same turret being used regardless of the team it's on, so why should the sound be different? And if the sound for Isida is to be made different based on teams, then why should sounds for other turrets stay the same?

 

You can use your health bar as an indicator. If the health is going up - you're being healed. Going down - damaged ?

I actually really love this feature and thank you for suggesting it, I hope Tanki do implement this as I sometimes use Isida , but when i'm not and a enemy Isida is damaging me I always think there healing me but then I end up dead, 

i know they have different colours for when they heal and attack but I never look at colours I always listen for sound as I concentrate to much to try come 1st in battle,

 

So thank you for suggesting this Idea and hopefully Tanki implement it in the future.

Thx for your reply, yes I know the health bar is a good indicator... if you have time to take your eyes off the screen! sometimes, as I'm sure you know close-quarter battles are really mad, in fact I played one recently where there were 6 Isidas, with 4 on the blue team, throw into the mix napalm and snow and it's difficult to know who to shoot at.  :)

 

Imo, other turrets differ in that if you get hit, there is a severe jolt, or if going across open ground you have time to look at health bar if you hear the boom of a Smokey, and other turrets are more obvious, i.e. Vulcan, Striker.

 

Really my suggestion only related to close-in battling, I just thought it would be nice to have.

I don't like the isida sound nowhere, sounds are really important considering you have always to be recognizing which turrets are closer, and so, be ready against the danger. :ph34r:

Some don't pay attention then the isda ends up upside down thinking its a enemy I have heard the noise while using scope with shaft and really i was dying - because I was focusing on the area outward not behind me lol - rarely happens now though

And accoring with I understood, the feature you are talking is already in the game.

Thx for your input Carlo, the problem with that is map angle, if the Isida is right up your jacksy (rear end) the beam emitted may not be visible to you at the point of contact.

Sorry about that. What I'm saying is that if a tank is getting healed it should turn light green, if damaged it should turn light red, if that's a color, and if damaged and healed at the same time it should turn red one side and green the other.

Instead of a different sound depending on what team its on, how about a different sound when healing vs damaging? 

That would be great with, for example, a screeching sound for damage...

 

But there is a problem, what will be the sound when a tank is being healed and damaged by Isidas at the same time.

 

Moreover, if you are driving an Isida and healing a friend but there's an enemy Isida attacking you, what will be the sound then?

 

I think a solution with sounds is not doable and the only option I see are effects with colors.

 

Maybe I'll have post my color ideas, unless someone shows me something that I'm missing.

And that idea wouldn't be bad. However I don't know of it could be possible due to the Flash limitations, and as you know, TX has better graphics than TO and it allowed to TX the implementation of the repair kit effect.

Those are very specific examples. In my 5 years of playing this game I've only been in that situation perhaps 10 times at most. And even then it's not particularly annoying since you can just look at your health bar and/or look around and check who's attacking you. Learn to use your camera keys to change the camera angle so that you can always have the most useful view :)

NO!

 

The turret already has different colors for enemy/ally.  The "stealth" aspect is the one feature that makes Isida viable in DM combat.

 

These requests are noting more than asking for crutches because the player simply is not very good.  Why stop here? Why not just make Isaidas heal enemies instead of damaging them. Then you should be safe frpm them, It's not like Isidas should be able to  kill enemies after all.

Is there some issue with Isidas running rampamnt over everyone else in DM? Did I miss that memo?  Because the entire Isada playerbase should not be punished becaue a couple players refuse to learn the difference between red and green. Or because noobs do not learn to keep pivoting their view to obtain battlefield awareness.  

 

Noobs who get snuck up on by isidas deserve to die. Good players beat bad players. The end.

Then both sounds play. The sound is coming from the isida turret and not the tank being attacked/healed.

So there will be at least three sounds:

 

A basic sound like the one you hear when the Isida user is pressing the space key but there are no other tanks in front of the turret to heal or damage.

 

A sound when the beam is touching an enemy tank. Could be the basic sound plus screeching type beeps.

 

And a sound when the beam is touching a friendly tank. The basic sound plus soothing type beeps.

 

I say "when the beam touches a tank" because that emits sounds too, at least with other turrets, like when a Vulcan fire is hitting nothing and when it's hitting you.

 

But I prefer my colors idea because with it you can tell when a hard to kill enemy is getting healed by an Isida that is hiding. I say if Fire turns your tank red and Freeze white, why not a healing  Isida and a damaging Isida turning your tank green and red?
