Patch Update #436 - Clan system and other changes

Tomorrow’s update at 02:00 UTC brings the long-awaited first iteration of the Clans system!

 

This first iteration will have limited functionality. Clan licenses will not be available for purchase, and will only be handed out to a small group of well-established and veteran clans.

 

Once the system has been tested properly, we will make the remaining features available to the whole community.

 

There will also be a number of changes for Ricochet and Smoky, and to the user interface. For a complete list of changes, please see the Patch Notes.

The new icons with the down, and up arrows, are really not fit for the UI -

The UI is misleading with these icons, and if someone that is new, didn't understand the game, just started, how will hey know to go to either one? 

 

You can not see the "?" within the friends center, only the outside. 

 

All in all - It needs to be fixed. The old icons made a better representation - One had a + and one had a - 

 

Simply bring back* or upgrade the icons to something more understandable. 

 

 

In this case its very much needed to bring back the Icons not the interface itself, just some of the icons that better represent the center.

On a serious note, I feel Rico will become alot more potent and Smoky will be average after this update, perhaps making way for some alterations...

Do the veteran clans get the licences only for the test or will they keep them forever once the full update is released? Does this mean they have already paid for the licences? Or are they getting them for free?

About clan licenses, only a HANDFUL of veteran, well-established clans will get licenses. We're giving these out so that they can help us test the system, so that the rest of you can then get a proper and polished product. This is common practice in all industries.
