Patch Update #436 - Clan system and other changes

I do do that in real life. My clan as an example. Its been strong for almost 2 years now, even though members have left and others have joined. There isn't the largest pool of US-based players that are good enough, but there are enough.

WEll congrats on a strong group. But thee's no clan battle system now to show you how well your clan mobilizes. And when there is a clan battle system unless there's another equally stable clan you're still not going to see many. If I read you right, you agree the pool of such stable players is rather shallow . . .

 

Again, I am only expressing my take on what we have been told. What we have been told has be feeling skeptical that this will add mucjh to the game.

 

What would ad much to the game would be to improve lag and connectivity issues.

Same here on eye to eye :). But I am not not trying to dis your clan, just saying I am not phyched up by the peeks Tanki's given us.

if Smoky wasn't OP i'm sure you wouldn't be using it, it's way OP and you know it.

 

Dear Dev's, if it is OP because it's the last Turret to unlock, then unlock it early and NERF it, i'm not trolling about this, 'im Dead serious, that thing need to be nerfed like Isida was before. 

 

and no, i'm not Riddler, I just love this font, it's not owned by Riddler, anyone can use it.

Mate, I really don't understand why you think everyone hates you. It's a bad way to view life. As I often say to @Golfinray, it won't get you very far in life.

 

And Smoky was just recently nerfed. Your opinion is that if a turret demolishes you, you want to remove it. Stop. That's completely unfair and bigoted

I'm facing a weird glitch with Vulcan now. Sometimes when I'm shooting a tank it randomly stops dealing damage to it, then starts again then stops. Its only appeared since this update. Just thought it should be known.

Dear Tanki,
I thank you very much, that you prohibit tankers inside a battle from visiting the lobby and check for "better" battles. There were always a few that keept multing in an active battle and blocked the slot for true fighters.
 
Now we will have much less inactive tanks in the first minutes of a battle.
Thanks very much for this tiny, but significant change :)

I never said i'm, Please, Guys, i'm treying to discuss how OP Smoky M2 is, and how it really need to be nerfed more, i incourage the dev's to nerf it, and i have no problem with any other M2 turret, i think all of them are well balanced.

Where was this mentioned in the OPor notes? This is pretty significant against mults!

 

I feel like people don't even realise they are doing stuff like this and crossing over the boundary into mult-ingdom, ruining play for others. So cutting short some features or chanelling them off in a new direction is such a positive thing! Ppl may still complain they have a feature taken away, it's only because they don't realise how it's passively helping them enrich the tanki experience.

Perhaps someone is still reading.

 

Despite the nerf of the smoky, it is still one of the most effective turrets in most battles I fight. The nerf matters, but it is not a big deal regarding effectiveness. The last several changes to the smoky have mostly made it less fun to use.

 

Pay to play: My Ricosck account is LtGen (3 gold stars). I just fought a full M4 Jackhammer in a LtGen battle. This player has obviously recently spent at least $300 cold hard US cash to be using that rig at that rank. It was probably more. $300 assumes he took advantage of the recent sale and a double-crystal card. My fully MUd Boar kit with 47% Atom module could hang, but dang! That Jackhammer kid had almost 60 kills in that DM, while me and the other effective tanker had about 25. This is why so many are saying Tanki has become pay to win, or even fully pay to play. The other eight or so tankers in that battle were just hammer fodder.

 

I've said rico changes don't matter much. I still can't tell there were changes. Ricosck has been using the exact same equipment and MUs for months. I cannot tell a difference between now and before. Mostly, it is a powerful turret. The last changes improved that, at least on paper. Overall, I cannot see how the changes were justified. I can guess no reasoning that indicated it needed to be buffed.

 

I'll reiterate one more time: Smoky used to be fun. It was hard, but rewarded skill. Now it is just hard with just enough punch to keep it effective. Smoky needs higher fire rate, lower damage per shot, more impact and recoil, and most of all, much more acceleration on the turret turning.

 

The big leveling killed smoky and twins on the turning acceleration. Still sucks! It was a very bad move and still bugs the hell out of me. It stinks worse than isidas, and isidas stink worse than a dumpster full of rotting skunks.

I think thats been going on. You shoot at someone, it does damage. You stop shooting and restart, and it does no damage. You stop and start for a 3rd time, and it does to damage. Happens about 1 in 100 times. Is that whats happening?

I am a smoky hornet user. Vulcan dictators with an isida behind them normally rip me to shreds without a thought. Except when this glitch happens.

 

A few days ago it happened to me

The Event : Industrial Zone CTF, Both flags have been taken. I attack the Vulcan Dictator holding my flag when he is at a chokepoint with an isida behind him. (but his teammates are elsewhere ) I cannot get the angle to hit the isida, so I decide to shoot the dictator and hope. The Vulcan spins up and starting shredding my health (I had full supplies, but Vulcans DPS is nearly unmatched) and I expect to die soon. Then he stopped doing damage even though he was still firing. I would have assumed I was lagging except that damage counters where still popping up with each of my point blank shots.

Not willing to question my good fortune, I shot him about 8-10 more times with DP on (I assume the isida was still healing) and killed him, then returned our flag before the Viking isida could grab it, (the vengeful isida promptly killed me.)

 

Possible Reasons and Alternatives: 1. it was the above mentioned glitch and he restarted firing without me noticing, (possible)

​2. He was a dictator, I am a hornet, and I had rammed into his side. I might have been low enough that he was shooting over​ my tank.

3. Something weird with lag and ping. (I had 60 fps and 100-200 ping).

Does this even happen? Unless there was someone behind you the shots directed at? Vulcan has the craziest auto aim (only next to thunder). Plus it's un-knockable.

As Spit_Ryre said the auto-aim might have done it. If vulcan sees two enemy tanks on the same compass bearing gut at different heights it decides which to shoot at. Perhaps one of your teammates was directly behind you on a ledge, and the frustrated Vulcan cold not get his turret to select you.

 

Just a possibility.

Switch garage and clan icon spots

 

Well, you all know as well a I know that we are all used to the garage being in its old spot before the most recent update with the new addition to the clan icon.


And some of you guys are complaining about clicking the clans icon when you meant to click the garage icon. And I agree, those icons need to switch spots.

So what do you say?

I have the same problem. Glad you brought this up.

That bug is still here, it's been here for over a year now. But what lukey0 is talking about is new, in addition to the old bug.

You gave a great account. The problem is not though, the old bug, nor that we are shooting over the target. Vulcan's fire is hitting the target, dealing damage, then no damge, then damage, without ever stopping and restarting firing. And the problem has only manifested fairly recently, not sure how long ago, so I would assume it has to do with one of the updates.

I've also been getting another rather annoying glitch. If I go to the lobby to check a battle, it pulls up all 3 parts- chat, battle list, battle info. When I go back to my battle, the chat stays up. You have to switch servers and come back for it to disappear. Also pressing f5 to refresh only works about 5% of the time now.

Um, nope. Vulcan beats Thunder at both upward and downward auto-aim and has total auto-aim angle of 29 degrees while Thunder only has 21 degrees about the horizontal.

I only learned one Striker trick from the Dynamite player... that's not fair. And I don't even know how he did that... it's the one in the Cologne map.

They should have a forum section here for Russian speakers as a temporary forum.

 

I agree, Smoky is almost the same. A big headache to Rail, Shaft and others. They need to weaken the impact force at least for the minimum damage range, and rise the damages a little to compensate.

Um, nope. Vulcan beats Thunder at both upward and downward auto-aim and has total auto-aim angle of 29 degrees while Thunder only has 21 degrees about the horizontal.

But auto aim is not the same as horizontal/vertical angle? Or is it? I'm confused.
