I think the Tanki client is leaking memory (using a crap ton of memory for no reason)

Hence why I was getting EXTREMELY bad FPS (I'm talking about 9-15fps here!)

 

Did someone at the Tanki team make a mistake while patching the game? I hope it will be fixed soon.

 

Oh and here is a temporary workaround: Restart your game.

That is also true jdc. But I know people who have fine FPS even after update.

I haven't been on the forum in years, and tonight I only came on to report the lag issue (which has obviously been reported), but once I saw your war, I knew I had to comment. And since jdc doesn't want to explain things, I'll make it simple for you. If you have adaptive fps disabled in Tanki's settings, then no, your fps does not go above 60. When this setting is disabled, Tanki locks the fps at a smooth and non spiky value, normally 60. When enabled, your frames can become more radical, and therefore your registered fps can go above 60. Really, at your rank I would expect you to know, even if your computer never needed it. I'm sure almost everyone has gotten curious about it at some point.

Listen Tanki, I am SO glad you finally decided to add an in-game clan system, which is something this game has needed for years now. But that's probably what is causing this new lag, so...I don't know how to feel. -_-

The topic mentioned above was from a while back, but before the client, so I guess it depends on your computer, and internet and the connection with the server. 

 

 

-_- Kinda hard to do, when you get 2 fps bc of the epic Server lag. WHY DO YOU THINK I CREATED THE TOPIC? For my looks? No. Bc  its NOT normal.

Sir How ever good my laptop is, Tanki makes it go ploop. That lag got me down from 60 FPS 75 PING to a shattered 30 FPS with 170 PING. DAYUM!

Well, then, it's not just ME getting the jerky play.

The connection is PULSING between 60 FPS and ZERO FPS, so that the battle is played in JERKY STEPS about 1 or 2 seconds in length.

 

This is occurring with the Standalone Client on RU2 in particular. The same thing is happening with the HTTP connection, except that the Frames per Second constantly jumps back and forth between 25 and 45 FPS. Playable, but not ideal. I'm trying to tweak the settings but no joy so far. Enabling adaptive FPS drops FPS to 12 to 14. So forget that.

 

Did they manage to break the client when adding the superfluous CLAN option to the taskbar??

What is happening?....Very big lagging after clan update...not even able to play single game. Loading time is long now...hope the developers will fix this issue soon...

I have thought its been leaking since the release I think its the game in general.

That might have been why it was going up that high I disabled it for a while and it was crazy!

After they put the (CLAN) in the game, the game is only catching lag, not the one of mecher in anything, already cleaned cache and not advance anything, fix it, because is not giving of playing with this lag.

En4 is very laggy

 

Should have said something  last night, but I overlooked it, it was on any server. All players...Alright most if not all, players were experincing this issue - including me

the lag for me has ended now .... I am lag free  Finally :D ......  i cleared my prefetch , temp and %temp% ...... if you guys know what that is..  if not just open your 'Run' command and type those in delete the files in them folders as there useless ...

 

Do that once a month and your computer should run faster :)   I've been doing this since 2013 and my computer is fine and runs faster everytime , also try clearing your cache ..

 

But i've done all this and im not lagging no more

Had nothing to do with cache, or anything otherwise. Please see the OP for the updated text. It is not cache or whatever when all players are impacted. 

 

This was one of the first replies, that you should clear cache or whatever. Doesn't help - when  its a server issue. 

 

The offiical article on the issue was put out - this is just a thread letting them know - As you can tell everyone had it that posted here. 

 

It is fixed as the restart update was messy and they cleaned it up with an addiitonal restart.
