Artillery Turret

Recommended Posts

The Artillery Turret has already been considered and is currently in development from the Tanki Online developers.

This topic is all about how the "Artillery Turret" will look and its dynamics on its rotation plus its given name.

This is a medium to long range turret so if players fire too close to its target it will eventually damage or destroy the player because of self-damage.

The above image is an image that I have created in "Microsoft Paint" for the "Artillery Contest" given out to players from the V-LOG: Episode 122.

All the illustrations that I have created are the dynamics on how I expect the "Artillery Turret" to look like and how it is supposed to rotate. This turret is supposed to rotate in all four directions: UP, DOWN, LEFT & RIGHT for much better aiming. This turret is supposed to be similar, but different than its predecessor named "Striker".

The name that I have chosen for the "Artillery Turret" really suits its look and rotation dynamic because of the way it both rotates and fires, including its large radius splash damage.

The name I have chosen for the "Artillery Turret" is called "Self Propelled Missiles", and it fires 10 independent rockets simultaneously from each of their respective barrels.

The 10 circles that you see in from of the "Artillery Turret" represents the 10 barrels from where the rockets are being fired from.

When the rockets are being fired from their barrels they fire all of the 10 rockets at the same time and they seek out and follow the enemy target destroying it within one firing round causing large splash damage radius to nearby enemy tanks.

Your above joke is a noob joke of a man firing a pink heart.

It has noting to do with the "Artillery Turret", but I accept it as a amusing "JOKE".

I really like this, but I feel like 10 rockets at a time is a little bit overpowered.

Good job though! :)

Thank you for congratulating my work on the representation of the "Artillery Turret", drawing and my own created topic on the first post.

Please understand that firing 10 guided rockets simultaneously does not make the turret necessarily overpowered. It would be a good thing to have such a turret (Artillery Turret) to be a bit overpowered since we need to have only 1 bit overpowered turret because this turret is build to instantly destroy any hull at any range.

All the 10 missiles are fired altogether, not one-by-one like the "Striker" turret. All the 10 missiles will seek and follow its target and destroy it upon impact and the splash damage will cause nearby tanks to suffer damage or being destroyed if too near the impact site location.

Please understand that players who struggle to get kills in battles will benefit from this amazing state-of-the-art "Artillery Turret", for getting a chance of earning kills every time he or she fires at an enemy target.

If you find my image to small to read its small print, please click on the picture to zoom in.

Looks like a high-capacity Striker. Two turrets with the same abilities?

No. I will look different and fire 10 rockets at once destroying a target within its range. Those rockets are guided rockets that follow its target.

The name that I have chosen for the "Artillery Turret" is "Self Propelled Missiles". Please make note of this name. I have already explained it on the top of this page. I just repeated this to refresh your memory. not spamming.

Please explain to me why this topic that I created is listed as "You need permission" by the owner?

That's a forum bug. Just retry.

OK. I understand. If this was real, I could not even read this topic or post. I find it strange why there is such a bug.

We aren't going to have another missile/rocket launcher, as of the name, even I am not speaking english "so well",

I think it will be more like shell-firing gun that will be able to fire at the far ranges with incredible power.

Here is the Wikipedia's page of Artillery.

Don't you mind that when we enter your page we already see the main post at first, and I think noone will come to debate without reading the main post :P ..

You don't anymore print your fonts in different colors?

How about "The Illudium Q-36 Explosive Space Modulator"?

The turret needs to rotate sideways and up and down.

I think it will only be possible to turn it up and down, and not sideways. Otherwise players need additional keys.

Well the developers and just do this:

For turning right and left, the turret must be assigned the "Z" and "X" keys.

For up and down movement, the turret can be assigned with the "↑" (up) and "↓" (down) arrow keys.

So you mean that you cannot move your tank, while you are shooting (as it is with shaft)? Well it could be this way... Let's get surprised  :)

That's not quite what I mean. What I am saying is that you rotate the turret right and left by using the "Z" and "X" keys & "↑" (up) and "↓" (down) movement arrow keys.

When moving "↑" (up) and "↓" (down), there is no zooming feature like Shaft, so players can move their tanks at the same time when pressing the "↑" (up) and "↓" (down) arrow keys.
