Artillery Turret

I've got a nest egg built up for when Artillery comes out and when it goes on sale! Damned micro-upgrades are eating into that budget though.

When the Artillery turret is released on the 8th March 2017, there is no need to any more re-balance updates. Everything is now working to plan and the balancing between every turret is fine. There is no need for change anymore. Please keep all turrets as they are now.

Where did you hear this?

Someone quoted that the release date of the Artillery turret would be on the 8th March 2017.

Unless it was one of the developers who said it, you shouldn't believe anything like that. It's most likely just a rumour :)

Riddler, since this has basically turned into the main topic for discussion of the upcoming turret, I edited the first post to better suit the topic. Added a more relevant image and moved your own image and description of the turret into a spoiler, to avoid misinforming readers of the topic, since the actual turret wasn't made exactly how you suggested.

I might be a developers, but I am not sure. However, the developers said in last week's V-Log that the Artillery turret would be ready to be released in a month's time. It's not that far away.

Watching the video it occurred to me that Arty can shoot backwards if on a ramp, with tube at maximum elevation. :)

Not sure why that would be something you'd want/need to do but it's something to keep in mind I suppose.

Looks nice! Mastering this will take some time imo, but this will be extremly powerful weapon as you can see from video. Direct hit will be able to kill M4 titan/mammy?

Hazel (Artillery) and Kasim (Hammer) at Kungur:

It was a livestream in the Russian community, held on 22nd February. You can skip the first minute of the clip if you wish.

It occurred to me after watching this video, that the Artillery shots need some smoke trails behind them! Besides looking cool, it would give a way for players to tell where the shots are going, and make aiming just a little bit easier. ;) The drawback being that enemies would be able to tell where the shots are coming from, too. Maybe it could be an alteration in the future? (Of course this is assuming nothing will be changed about the turret in the time between that livestream and when the turret is released.)

Oh really?  <_<

Probably a laser would help, but I am not sure about that.

This turret is way different from others. We can just shoot above every obstacle.Best for camping. But i think it will be really hard to master it.

There should be a tutorial for teaching players on how to properly use each and every turret in Tanki Online. When the players successfully master the use of each turret, the players would earn a crystals compensation for each of the passed lesson.

Would I be wrong to assume there will be some sort of sale upon the release of the new turret? can someone who has been around when they released the other new turrets give me a little insight?

There is no information about any sales on the turret, so we can not be sure if there will be anything or not, but let's hope for the best :)

Judging from the video, since it takes 2 shots to kill a Viking but enough to one-shot a Hornet, I'd put it between Railgun's and Shaft's damage range.

The 8th March 2017 is just around the corner. When will the Artillery be released officially?

Maybe I'm wrong but I feel like Artillery turret is going to be released soon after this sale. Also all the dicounts in last month may be intended to spend all our crystals so who would want Artillery right after realease, would have to buy crystals. I don't upbraid tanki for it. Actually I think it's an appropriate move to earn money. If you want in now, pay. Otherwise wait for next discount.

Lemme think...How 'bout asking the developers this - click Space = tank stop moving, starts aiming enemy, and turret can be turned around. After a shot, the tank can be controlled again? And we can do Arcade mode for it too <3

Artillery turret - Usage

The Artillery turret must have a laser with an indication icon that shows where the rocket will land.

The mechanics of this turret must be made in a way so that it is user friendly. I am not sure how exactly the difficulty level would be for the Artillery turret's up and down movement.

If the parameters of the up and down movements are too hard for players to aim at enemies before they shoot the rocket, this will be a great problem for them. I would suggest a lock-on target system for the Artillery turret that will make it fire guided rockets to make sure players successfully hit their target.

The splash damage and power must be greater than all the other turrets in Tanki Online so that each rocket fired will give the players a 100% chance that their targets be destroyed when the rocket is fired.

Guided rockets

In my point of view, the Artillery turret must have a lock-on target so that players can lock-on their enemies before firing the rocket at them. Guided rockets will be useful for a turret that goes up and down instead of rotating left and right.

You need to understand that Artillery turret will be firing shells, not rockets. Forget about rockets.

Sorry about rockets. Shells. The shells must function in a proper way with the turrets dynamics.
