That's not quite what I mean. What I am saying is that you rotate the turret right and left by using the "Z" and "X" keys & "↑" (up) and "↓" (down) movement arrow keys.

 

When moving "↑" (up) and "↓" (down), there is no zooming feature like Shaft, so players can move their tanks at the same time when pressing the "↑" (up) and "↓" (down) arrow keys.

The arrow keys are reserved for the tank for driving forward and backwards (if you can't do that, you obviously can't move). If you are talking about the page up and down keys, they are reserved for going up and down with the camera perspective.

 

The devs said somewhere, that they won't add special keys for a single turret in order to avoid complexity. You won't be able to turn your turret horizontally, but only vertically as explained in the Vlog 102 from 9:07 on.

Well the developers and just do this:

 

For turning right and left, the turret must be assigned the "Z" and "X" keys.

 

For up and down movement, the turret can be assigned with the "↑" (up) and "↓" (down) arrow keys.

They already said in V-logs that the Artillery will only have up and down movement. To rotate left and right you will have to use your hull.

OK. But, that's is not fair for players. I will make the turret harder to aim and use.

 

It is important for the Artillery turret to have left and right rotation as well as up and down movement.

We'll see what they come up with. Artillery is a very original turret (as in, it's very different from all others), so it's too early to judge and say that such an experimental aiming mechanism will be harder to use than other turrets.

Did you send your design in the special form that was linked in last week's V-log topic under the video? If you only created this topic, then you aren't participating in the contest and therefore you don't have a chance to get 20 000 crystals.

Yes. I have sent my created design to the special form that is attached to V-Log 122.

 

How can I tell if I have received my crystals?

I hope that the splash damage of the Artillery turret has a much larger radius than all the other turrets in Tanki Online. Players need to have such a turret to destroy multiple enemy tanks at once for greater kills, crystals and battle points. The slash damage must be like a huge explosion destroying any group of enemy tanks within its firing radius.

Well, my suggestion is 4000 HP of damage because an M4 Mammoth has 4000 HP of health. That is just enough to take out an M4 Mammoth in just one shot. If the M4 Mammoth is temporarily protected with a Double Armor supply, it will take 2 shots from the Artillery turret to destroy an M4 Mammoth.

No, 4000 HP per shot is too much. It shouldn't be more than 800 HP per shot for M3+ modification.

Well, how about 2000 HP per shot for M4 modification. 800 HP is not enough for M4 modification for this turret.

The Artillery Turret has already been considered and is currently in development from the Tanki Online developers.

 

This topic is all about how the "Artillery Turret" will look like and its dynamics on its rotation plus the quantity of rockets it can fire & its given name.

The above image is an image that I have created in "Microsoft Paint" for the "Artillery Contest" given out to players from the V-LOG: Episode 122.

 

All the illustrations that I have created are the dynamics on how I expect the "Artillery Turret" to look like and how it is supposed to rotate. This turret is supposed to rotate in all four directions: UP, DOWN, LEFT & RIGHT for much better aiming. This turret is supposed to be similar, but different than its predecessor named "Striker".

 

The name that I have chosen for the "Artillery Turret" really suits its look and rotation dynamic because of the way it both rotates and fires, including its large radius splash damage.

 

The name I have chosen for the "Artillery Turret" is called "Self Propelled Missiles", and it fires 10 independent rockets simultaneously from each of their respective barrels.

 

The 10 circles that you see in from of the "Artillery Turret" represents the 10 barrels from where the rockets are being fired from.

 

When the rockets are being fired from their barrels they fire all of the 10 rockets at the same time and they seek out and follow the enemy target destroying it within one firing round causing large splash damage radius to nearby enemy tanks.

 

This is a medium to long range turret so if players fire too close to its target it will eventually damage or destroy the player because of self-damage.

Wow. Is that how the Artillery turret looks like. It looks much longer than Shaft own gun look.

 

Artillery also resembles a cannon.

 

Please can we have a 50% off sale on the day that the Artillery turret is released for the first time in Tanki Online.
