New settings window...I hope it's not much different from the current one.

Probably the "drop zone marker visible" option has been removed. It would be on by default. Maybe.

Maybe the bonus boxes, but imo gold box drop zone should stay the same :P

Lol, all the possible drop box zone marker will be visible at once ! What a mess it will be.

Mainly good news.

 

Except for the drop zone markers visible from anywhere. I think there are 2 reasons why this will be bad.

 

-Maps will be ugly with all the markers visible.

-Gold boxe will now be a lot harder.

 

I think you should make all the marker visible, except for the Gold marker.

 

Anyway, we'll have to see what it's look like after the update. Then we'll be able to say if it's bad or not. But at this point, I'm sure it will be bad for Golds. Tho I wonder how we'll be able to see the markers from anywhere. In maps like Berlin, this will be just a pattern of colors XD.

 

I don't know how it will work, but here is my opinion :

 

-You should exclude the Gold marker from this update. Meaning the Gold marker will ALWAYS fade away, like right now. 1 marker fading away can't cause a fatal error.

 

-As for the supplies marker, we should have the choice in the settings window. Marker visible from everywhere or fade away. And, marker visible from anywhere should be the default setting. So, everyone woul dhave this, and we could switch to fade away if we want.

There already is, " Show drop zones ", no one mentioned it tho so we forgot about it

I play with dropbox markers switched off...does this affect me in any way?

Yes, you will see all drop zones no matter how long you are from it

EDIT: as long as they remove the setting

 

What is this "Critical Error" that you guys speak of? If it's happened numerous times, I haven't had it....

Although Standalone flash player does have a lower error rate than even the browser XD

Basically crashing.

Oh. Well, in that case, it's happened a couple of times to me, but only in super derpy situations. Normally, lots of lag and resources being used and then the Standalone player derps out and just crashes.

Yeah, it happens on client a lot too. Sometimes even from opening garage outside of the battle for me :/

1. This is a very good update, but will players keep there ratings forever?

 

2. I don't quite understand "what does the", "drop zone markers will be visible from anywhere on the map", on the Patch Update #437 log?

 

Please explain in better details.

Yes, you will see all drop zones no matter how long you are from it

And when you die, usually the markings disappears too, will the markings stay when fly over to re-spawn point?

If Gold Box counted as supplies I bet the best tactic to find the gold id to  self to you get a wide overview of the map. :D

I bet that on Rio map everybody is going to go for the highest point for a good view.

Haha yup, we'll see ho long it will stay in the game tho, I don't think they will make it like this forever :P

Good idea tho, I forgot about the re-spawn thing :P

Yes, but you can choose to see or not see the drop zones. There should be a seetings to choose if you want them to be visible from everywhere or fade away. But this will make a lot of settings...

As a reminder, Player Ratings were removed from the game two years ago because it was too easy to boost the numbers using cheap tactics. The new rating system will be based on the same metrics, but will use a new, smarter formula.

- Could you please tell us what new formula is used?

- When you say that it was possible to get a great rating with the old metrics by using cheap tactics, I suppose you refer to players who kept leaving battles to avoid getting killed..? Does the new formula prevent this by incorporating the ratio between earned crystals and experience points?

Can you pls tell me what these old metrics are?

This was the old formula (EP = experience points earned, KD = Kill/Death ratio) that was abandoned about two years ago:

Back then you used to have this number in the EP bar and the total ranking (i.e. at which place you are with this coefficient, as compared to all the other players) next to it..
