Dear Tanki, what is happening to the ratings?

 

I get good D/L's in my games, but my ratings seems to go down :mellow:

And I've got like 15k xp in this week, why isn't the ratings page updating?

Most likely your rating is going down, because other players are doing better and are passing you by.

As for the ratingspage, it seems like it's being reset every day, not sure what is going on.

I'm going to hazard a guess that the ratings are based on the scoreboard position you end up on in the battles you play, aggregated over a period of time or number of battles(as a ratio)? I'm reading between the lines here. Also seeing a strong corelation between my rating plummeting like a stone after a few winning battles where I remained at the bottom of the board because I either joined late or chose to midfield instead of fully attacking/defending (Passed the mult certification course with flying colours :rolleyes:).

 

So to sum up -

 

You are not going to get a good/bad rating just because you have a high/low D/L.

So to sum up -

 

You are not going to get a good/bad rating just because you have a high/low D/L.

It's good the new "Rating" is not heavily influenced by /D or else the Rating would just be another version of K/D. There' no point in having two metrics that essentially follow the same calculations.

 

One thing is certain: th e Rating won't measure real battlefield smarts. Don't worry abou it.

I do enjoy playing Tanki it is quite a fun game and environment... BUT (and that is a big but--pun intended) some of the bugs and kinks that pop up after an update... Really?! how bout a bit more testing... just sayin' Something as noticeable as "Player Profiles" being messed up is just simply not caring enough about your workmanship. I agree the coding can be a bit on the tricky side and when you change one thing one place it effects something else... I've got to assume that it will be fixed in a near future update but how bout not doing the change in the first place until the quite noticeable bugs are workout... just because you have a server restart doesn't mean you need to come across as a bit amateurish in planning ahead, testing, and troubleshooting... come on Tanki coders you are better than this you have proven it many times over. Please oh please test just a bit more testing. Thanks!

Not sure why y'all didn't mention the custom controls anywhere. They are da real MVP of the recent updates. So much easier than using a separate program to assign hotkeys.

Rating R is useless because only we can see it.. And it is a big mess which messed up profiles. If rating are visible to other players by press V or R then it will make some sense!!

Q: Is the #1 rating highest or lowest?

A: The rating works as a score, so BIGGER number = BETTER rating, which means if your rating is 1, you're a pretty crappy player lol

Ratings are completely screwed up. Not Player ratings, but the ones implemented in October 2015. Those things.

Yes. And I think I get it. Everytime I claim a crystal reward after completing a mission during a battle, my ratings of the week are deleted :lol: :lol: :lol:

Not sure what the point of ratings are if no one even knows what the numbers mean. And even if I knew what the numbers meant, I'm in not interested in my own rating or anyone else's. It's just another useless thing on my screen.

Yes I play on brower (Mozilla). No I don't have the client.

 

Still, I never got an error in Chernobyl before (usually it's Iran, Berlin and Dusseldorf).

 

Seems like the drop zone update causes more errors ^^

The zone update does not cause more errors. It reduces them. Maybe you PC is too slow.

My PC is too slow? It's the same PC. I was able to play Chernobyl with no errors before the update.
