Didn't work for me the first time either and then suddenly started working. Try reloading the game, accessing settings from a battle and pressing the Num Lock key.

Finding the gold quickly used to require some skill, now it's boring, no scramble, no fun of being the only one who knows where it is, the gold box drop zone marker should have been excluded from this update, bad update

Yup, you can just kill yourself. Then you will be respawned as a result of a good view about the whole map. Sounds quite boring

Yes, for example in Noise. Sometimes the Gold falls in the small corner, and only 3 or 4 players can find it. Now, if it falls there, everybody will see it. There will be a pile of players and it will only be luck to get the Gold.

Holy carp this update is amazing!

Gold markers seen from any distance is quite nice, but the custom controls just made my life SO much easier! I had to use a separate keyboard for Tanki due to ghosting keys on my laptop, but now I just changed the tank controls to the numpad keys and it all works perfectly! ^_^

Also changed the infamous gold box key to 0 and the V/R key to C, since who cares about centering your turret anyway? :D

 

There are some issues with the custom controls, but they aren't too bad and will hopefully be fixed soon. Overall, great work!

i changed the goldbox key to 0 as well but in battles it still says 6 -_-

Yes, but you can choose to see or not see the drop zones. There should be a seetings to choose if you want them to be visible from everywhere or fade away. But this will make a lot of settings...

You are neglecting the fact that the fade away aspect is causing extra crashes. They are not going to leave in the feature that causes extra crashes - not when the point to the change is to remove the factor that causes extra crashes. 

 

As for making Gold Boxes easier . less fun.  Huzzah! Go;ld Boxes are for noobs. Grab one if it happens to be near otherwise cap a flag or a couple CPs and or pop a DD and slaughter noobs bleating "no kil no kill!". 

 

I rerckon a game called "Tanki Online" might be about oh I dunoo... tanks fighting tanks.

 

Now if I had signed up for Fluffi Bunni Gummi Dropi Online then I'd be primed to catch floating prizes.

 

Other than that I have no opinions on the subject.    :mellow:

So, garage update removed the ability to check the lobby and stay in a battle.

I get that for the supplies. But tell me that ONE spot fading away will cause crashes... There is only one Gold spot, maybe two when a double Gold. But this will not cause crashes.

So what? We can't have some fun with an extra feature like Gold? That's what makes Tanki unique. Remove Gold, half of players will leave...

I presume the higher the rating the better? 

If I remember correctly, it was the opposite for the old ratings. If it works the same, small number = better rating, but it needs confirmation.
