Patch Update #437 - Player Ratings plus additional fixes

2.5k exp + 3.8k + 2 golds at the end of the battle. My ratings are the same. I really wonder how these new ratings work.

Have you tried the numpad + and -? The whole settings system is changed and it changed mine too those. (If you dont have a numpad, look at which keys it is binded too instead.)

I haven't even found the time to log in since the new update, so here I'm just assuming xD

 

However everyone seems to have a problem with sound being off by default.. it could be the same here.. if you check the custom settings, maybe the keys for maximizing and minimizing screen changed?

So, garage update removed the ability to check the lobby and stay in a battle.

Each update affect another aspect of the game...

 

I get that for the supplies. But tell me that ONE spot fading away will cause crashes... There is only one Gold spot, maybe two when a double Gold. But this will not cause crashes.

 

 

 

So what? We can't have some fun with an extra feature like Gold? That's what makes Tanki unique. Remove Gold, half of players will leave...

 

If you have code in your software that you know is crashing the overall program, then you must remove the problem code in order to solve the problem. If you leave the problem code in then you leave the problem in existence. So yes, what you insist will not cause crashes will indeed cause crashes. How do I know? The people who wrote the code and who know the code decided to change the code in order to stop these crashes.

 

I leave addressing further pretzel logic and/or wishful thinking to others at this point.

 

As for Gold BBoixes? Did I say you cannot have fun? No, I stated my opinion and that is Gold Boxes are for noobs.  I don't mind they are in the game because - as with anything else in the game -  I try to use them to my advantage: Scoring easy points and kills while the noobs hand them to me.

That was the case for DM Tournaments and also for the old system if I remember correctly... 

In the old system, a lower rating was better. I'm not sure what's the case with the current rating. We will see once they introduce the ranking in the rating page.

To adjust screen size on laptops or keyboards that don't have the numeral pad, type "-" in the blank space of "Decrease screen size" and "=" in the blank space of "Increase screen size" in "Controls" in "Settings".

Holy carp this update is amazing!

Gold markers seen from any distance is quite nice, but the custom controls just made my life SO much easier! I had to use a separate keyboard for Tanki due to ghosting keys on my laptop, but now I just changed the tank controls to the numpad keys and it all works perfectly!  ^_^

Also changed the infamous gold box key to 0 and the V/R key to C, since who cares about centering your turret anyway? :D

 

There are some issues with the custom controls, but they aren't too bad and will hopefully be fixed soon. Overall, great work!

The more they overtake the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain. At least THREE glitches came with the update (immobile tanks, mute button on and inop, profiles wrong)- apparently they are STILL trying to fix the Profiles tonight.

 

Change for the sake of change is foolish - we never know when our expenditures and experience are going to be rendered useless by somebody's "fix" or "clever new idea" -- enough with the updates and try to just keep things working right for a few weeks! OK??

 

(Yes,I know it's easier to do new stuff rather than fix what keeps breaking. But it's worse when you keep breaking it yourselves.)

No no :D they don't load for me too. I speak about the number in the experience bar. I am stuck at 9421.

If I remember correctly, it was the opposite for the old ratings. If it works the same, small number = better rating, but it needs confirmation.

IMO now lower R is better rating.

(Yes,I know it's easier to do new stuff rather than fix what keeps breaking. But it's worse when you keep breaking it yourselves.)

An online game without regular updates to introduce new content is a dead game. They can't afford to just stop making new features.

 

Besides, all of the obvious bugs get fixed sooner or later. In fact, I challenge you to name as many bugs and glitches caused by updates as you can. "Lag keeps getting worse after every update" does not count.

The settings aren't being saved, every time I log in the game the volume is too high and the graphics settings reset.

Lol, all the possible drop box zone marker will be visible at once ! What a mess it will be.

That's not how it will work. What will happen is that when a marker appears, it will remain visible until the drop is picked, rather than fade in and out depending on your distance from the marker. No, not all goldbox markers will be visible all the time.

-As for the supplies marker, we should have the choice in the settings window. Marker visible from everywhere or fade away. And, marker visible from anywhere should be the default setting. So, everyone woul dhave this, and we could switch to fade away if we want.

That would kill the whole purpose of what we're trying to achieve.

The rating works as a score, so BIGGER number = BETTER rating, which means if your rating is 1, you're a pretty crappy player lol
