This is indeed the thing to do since Hazel made the changes giving less emphasis to k/d. Good advice to low/mid rankers.

That's all I cared about when I began this account....got as high as a 23.00 something...but I was barely getting anything from it so as soon as I realized this and started doing it...I could have afforded any product kit for crystals as they came....but I made a bad decision in getting Voltage .-.

During the New Year's sales, though, I got M2 Hornet and M2 Hammer which I got to 24/50 MU. Also, due to a problem that occurred when I tried to get the high capacity drum alt, I wasn't able to get it right away, but luckily Cedric Debono got them to give it to me for 25,000 crystals instead of 100,000. My Hammer all together should have been enough to buy two M3s but only cost me roughly 160,000 crystals.

Had to wait a whole MONTH to get my alt but that 75% discount was worth it! When I put my Hammer on my Dictator, in close range, Paladin doesn't survive. I even tested this with a friend of mine. In point blank range, neither of us with protection from anything, I was able to kill his Paladin.

If only people knew how to get crystals without using their mother's credit card, Tanki devs wouldn't be getting so much hate on this game being pay-to-play, which it's not. (lol mini rant)

Update of ranking list: added new players @Surprises at position 2 and @StormChaser, re-added  @austen_pierce

No, it's not. You know full well that for some players to stay on top longer, all they have to do is play less. If they want to preserve it, they'd not play at all and I didn't suggest that. Got it?

No, still don't follow you. Players towards the top of list have a good rating because of what they've done in the past. If they continue playing in a similar way they will stay up there, unless there is a change which specifically affects their "success" as per the rating criteria. So a change of removing crystals from missions won't affect that, as everybody is impacted in the same way, while a change of counting crystals from Premium bonus has the potential to impact this..

Well do it then. Make it clear - what you worried about?

I've already explained why rank is not there - it's represented through EP. If you'd asked politely, I might have considered adding it, but you won't get me to do what you want using this tone..

Top players in this list are the most efficient ones at acquiring the most crystals for the least experience. If everyone continued playing in a similar way then those efficient players who maximised their opportunities will indeed lose out more than those who concentrated on supplies instead.

Not just that, k/d is less of a factor too. Camping players now don't get as much benefit, in terms of rating, from the hard work of others as they previously did. Previously, hard working players got crystals at the expense of their k/d which affected their present rating. Now that will be less of an issue for them.

I agree that premium is unfair but I can't see Hazel changing premium returns to x1.5, (same as experience), for fear that less people will purchase them.

Was the dumping of the K/D ratio in the ratings formula the reason, to remove it also from the clan profile menu?

Another question on the ratings, would the measure "EP per hour" or "Crys per hour", so basically the play time, bring in an additional benefit? So could it be an influencing factor?

Also what do you think from which K/D number on, it is harmful to have this high K/D?

That would benefit heavy supply users. Looking at the ranking list, I don't see hints of that. You will find both people drugging a lot and those drugging little in similar places. But I will try this next time I do a full update of the list..

Also what do you think from which K/D number on, it is harmful to have this high K/D?

It could also be that such a "penalty" for high K/D is only done for ranks below Legend. Hard to tell, since currently there is no Legend player in the list with a very high K/D. However, when comparing my rating with that of others in the top third of the list, it seems that my comparably high K/D helps getting a better rating. So if there's a limit above which K/D is bad, it's higher than that..

I've been getting good K/Ds in battles and my rating has been going down...

Your Cry/EP ratio is very high, so I guess it must be going down continuously (I think it was at 2.81 when you joined the list, yesterday it was 2.79). Your decreasing rating may be caused by this rather than good K/D..

That's only true when comparing to other possible rating systems. K/D is not a key factor for the current rating formula, but that is already reflected in the current ranking. My point still stands - no reason for "efficient" players to play less for not being overtaken by "hard working" players, as you call them..

That rating means nothing, and shows nothing ...

I don't understand how is this rating supposed to represent my skills... ?

You are absolutely right. But it's common in gaming to have these meaningless ratings so people have something to argue about.  ;)

And for the Tanki company it is a way for the to distract their customers from the rotten job they are doing with the clan system, lag, and un-tested nerfings.

My point is now crystals earned through missions, gold boxes and rank-ups are not being added to rating then how they have earned so much?

I have claimed about 5200 crys reward from mission which is not added in my rating / profile /blah blah

That's why any ratings system is arbitrary and essentially meaningless.

Just ignore it.

Well, Maybe it's a huge Wasp Fire battle, in which only one player receives the fund.

For example:

Five friends, play Wasp Fire battle for three hours. the fund is 25,000 crystals. Near to the end of the battle, an alt of player X eneters to a battle, plays a bit. The rest of the players leave the battle. The alt receives more than 25k crystals. They do it every day for a week.

25,000 x 7 = 175,000 Crystals.
