I started at 89975 when it first came out. Dropped to 89930 after few days of playing. Got premium, again, after few days 89941. This is not rating for me tho, I always always always join teams in CTF which are loosing, because I enjoy changing outcome of battle(attempt to do it). But time to time, everyone leaves from battle, which makes it dead battle. Therefore, this will drop my rating ALWAYS. 

 

Not hard to boost it tho, just play DM, win and it will go up.

No problem, will take you out.

 

Agree the rating is biased towards buyers and not terribly meaningful. You're in good company if you're unable to raise your rating, last week virtually everybody was dropping. You'd have to play at least close to your Cry/Ep of 1.77 to increase it. For this, you'd need Premium + play very well (win every battle) + get some help from friends..

 

Can anyone give me a estimate on how my rating will change when I rank up to legend? My current rating is 84,509. I know it will increase, but I am wondering how much.

Below the weekly stats of a few players in the list who ranked up. So I guess your rating value will go up by around 2500 to 2800..

Do you have any experience in how much your rating increases when you rank up as a legend? It seems to be a lot less than 2500. Also, do you know if ranking up from Gen to Legend increases rating by another 2500?

I just recently ranked to Commander and the table in the main thread post still has my old rating 82419 and now my rating is 85138. I don't expect that it has increased in the meanwhile before the rankup, so it's quite a leap.

Yeah I think you're right. When Cortana ranked up from Gismo to Legend some weeks ago, his rating increased only by 382, see this post.

 

For rank up as Legend, I don't have an example. My guess would be it's the same if not less as a rankup from Gismo to Legend.

87 players are now in the list. Comparing the status to the last full update 1 week ago on 26/02/2017:

- 3 entries are new

- 5 had a rankup (i.e. large increase of rating value)

- 8 didn't play, i.e. no change in rating value

- 10 had an increase of their rating value (in average by +7.1)

- 61 had a decrease of their rating value (in average by -13.9)

 

Changes in rating position: not counting those with a rank up or new entries, 3 players improved their rating position, while 76 lost positions.

Pretty much everybody is experiencing the same, see my post above.

 

It seems that Cry/Ep ratio plays an important role for the rating. Since crystals from missions or goldboxes are not counted anymore for the amount of crystals earned, virtually nobody is able to maintain their previous Cry/EP ratio => rating drops. Unless there's a change, this will go on for many months to come. Only players new to the game won't have this sensation of their rating dropping continuously..

 

Edit: what has also changed is that crystals earned with Premium are counted. This gives a 33% boost to the Cry/EP ratio. Your Cry/EP ratio is 1.41. Using Premium and winning virtually every battle, you could get close to that, but it's impossible to maintain that ratio without Premium..

All rankups of the players in the list so far were below Legend. In the cases I listed, the rankup indeed led to a large increase in rating value. Thanks to your rankup, now we know that once on Legend rank, ranking up further doesn't play a role for the rating..

I thought that the 40K crystals would be added to my profile, and also to "crystals earned". And then improving my ratings. But no.

I am a little bit disappointed by my Crys/Exp ratio, but I messed it in the last 2 days, losing some battles, especially during Women's Day, because of mults. Still won a lot of points in ratings. Only +3 positions, but I guess a lot of players bought the paypal bundle, and the Women's Day one. And some of them probably no lifed, way more than me. 87K exp with premium, it is like 60K. It is not that much in 7 days.
