Obviously, the models posted above can't be colored over in photoshop while maintaining certain characteristics such as Specular or Reflection based off of the environment, Ambient Occlusion and Shading, Texture Detail, etc.

 

It's some amazing work though, I still think it looks very clean with this white look. As Ninja said, it would pretty much require a super-computer to be able to handle operating with such textures and detail.  :lol:

Technically it can be done in PS but for such a complex model it would be ludicrously difficult. Texture maps are just image files at the end of the day and if you have the time and skill to draw each pixel over the uv map it could be done.
