Flipping someone over purposely

 Share

Recommended Posts

If an enemy lands on top of me or attempts to shove me, sure, I will flip him. In time sensitive battles like CP, it absolutely IS a tactic. One less tank, an extra 5 seconds respawn plus travel time - yeah that can change the outcome of a game and thus the distribution of some massive battle funds.

If a teammate does the same, the most I'll do is crack off a quick shot, indicating my annoyance. It is NOT okay to flip teammates.

I'm sorry, but argue all you want. This is not a tactic it's a cheap shot.

I agree, it is a cheap shot. I think I've noticed it more since the missions came out. If you have the flag and a team mate needs flags for his mission, he'll flip you in hopes that you will give him the flag. I consider this sabotage. If I give up the flag, that's good game play. If I decide not to, in hopes the enemy will come, kill the saboteur and them me, then I'm the saboteur.

If a team mate needs to take first place and you're holding first place, he'll flip you, causing you to self-destruct. That takes points away from you. If he pushes you over the side, it's considered a self-destruct. TO says they take points away for not having you tank under control. With the weapons in the game, some will flip you. How is that under your control?

Then some players do it just because they can.

When a team mate flips me and I have the flag, I wont drop it and I wont self destruct if it was with intent to flip me.

This is their punishment. The enemy will pick them off first then kill me to return their flag.

I could do the same as you if my team is winning, but if we are tied or loosing I may let the one who flipped me have the flag.

i would recomend to give flag to someone else and then stalk the noob who flipped ya. Push him in enemys so he dies a lot. Battle fund grows and he ruins hes K/D.

I'm speaking in the sense of this, I was playing Highways CP and the enemy instead of attempting to out shoot me pushes me off the side so I self destruct. Mind you we both have full health, it was a cheap shot because the enemy knew they sucked.

In that case, it's a tactic.

If I was your enemy, my aim would be to accept the lowest possible damage from you, and at the same time I need to get rid of you. So either I will go back to my base for team support, put a mine and expect you to step on it, or if possible... try to flip you or push you out of the map. That's a tactic and isn't easy either. So if it annoys you, then too bad for you :D

Make's sense,  However I had done the same thing to someone before and gotten the same response.

It's called playing dirty. Maybe it's not the most honourable way to play, but it is according to the rules.

It's not if you flip your teammates.

I hate those players who try to flip you when you carry the flag. Also hate those who try to block you when you carry the flag. These are saboteurs and they need to be banned.

Fight for the enemy flag before it returns is a grey area. Sometimes it can be justified. I'll push a low HP teammate from the flag platform without any remorse.

Sure, if it's the enemy, flipping is fair play, but I don't kill them and I wish my team mates wouldn't either. It takes points away from the enemy and he's out of the way for awhile, though short.

Flipping a team mate on purpose is unfair play and selfish. As I respawn, I ask the team mate why he flipped me. The usual answer, "'Sorry, accident." At my desk I'm saying,"Yeah, rrriiiiiiightttt, A-hole."

If I can find him, I'll take out some revenge, but not at the cost of my team, as I have seen many times.

Before the Missions, there were some bad apples, but since that update, it seems it has brought out the worst in some players.

If you mean team-mates, yes - that's sabotage.

Enemies?  Hardly cheap.  Pushing someone off a bridge is no different from using gun and impacting them off a bridge.  That happens to be an advantage of a heavier hull.

Do you complain if a heavier hull pushes you off a Gold?

If you play XP/BP there is almost certainty you've flipped a tanker. It's just part of the game. Why would I kill you when I can just disable you? That time you are disabled I can use to torment your teammates. =) It's just logical. Maybe the only reason you're arguing about it is because you get flipped a lot. But from the P.O.V of the flipper, it's just extremely satisfying...
