Also, with the 90 degree angle ability, give your shot a low charge and it'll hit whoever is on your tail! if not, the large splash damage will hurt em!

 

Way to go to first turret that can kill an enemy while running away!

Exactly hah, totally hilarious feature that thing has, very advantageous. And a quick way to SD or troll nugs xD

 

Tho I'd rather have had a turret which could turn a little bit only, like 20° horizontal traverse left and right, but no traverse is illogical. After all, even any real turretless tank always can turn that gun a bit, but yea, as it's a demo, maybe things will change. And I'd forgive if that bit would make it OP, but k

 

Also, the name Artillery is horrible, it'd be way better to have a better one, maybe even named after a real artillery xD

 

But the turret itself seems a pretty game changing thing to the game, cool. As for the Valentine's Day sales, time to get me back in. Or not. Or maybe. Hey, who knows?

Most of the players can't handle Striker properly due to just a few complications in turret behavior. Rockets goes in straight line but slight off center and with noticable acceleration. That is more than enough to make it almost impossible to be effectively used by most of the players out there.

On a more serious note though, to me the controls of the new turret seem good. :)

Seriously though, why there are suggestions to make Artillery turret turn both horizontally and vertically? A mere thought there will be no way to turn the turret is that uncomfortable?

 

In this case you need to picture this:

Imagine that you have to move your tank, turn your turret, keep barrel elevation and release space bar at certain time to get desired shot power, all at the same time. While there are no auto-aiming and no indicators where the shot will go.

How do you expect to control Artillery, while it is even more complicated to land a shot? Shots are always fly in arc, they never get to the target quick enough, you have to keep an eye on elevation and power indicators and if your enemy shoot at you your aim will go off instantly. And again — no indication where your shots will go, only elevation and power. You will have to calculate each shot! Every time!

 

Your suggestions to add horizontal controls for turret will only get you confused beyond playable condition in real combat scenario.

I agree, no need to make things more complicated.  :)

True. It seems like this turret will be more of a stationary weapon, just like in WoT. You select a good firing position, take a few practice shots and after a while you'll be able to know exactly which angle and power the shot needs to hit a certain location (e.g. a place where enemies often pass) as well as predict the projectile flight time, so that you can shoot in advance and hit a tank that's moving past the place where you're aiming.

 

I imagine it will take crazy amounts of skill to be able to judge the angle and power accurately every time while also moving around the map and shooting in different directions.

Funny that noone even mentioned about the sales. They aren't very big but better than nothing. Or is it a trick to spend crystals before a bigger discount ?? :D. Anyway might be getting the "long range alteration" for twins.

Aghhh u  can't turn artillery?? that sounds pretty weird and contradictory to the dev's recent attempt to "reduce twins noobiness"

Do you even know what artillery is? Do you think it's easy to hit a target which you can't see on the other side of the map by only adjusting angle and power of the projectile? Is that "noobish?"
