Do buyers/players loaded with crystals actually need to catch the gold?

Not to take it seriously or anything but just curious (disclaimer to avoid trigger)

Some of us have been in those gold rains where you're or someone's about to take it then the player who hosts the gold rain just takes their own gold once or several times (buyer etc.), yes it's a let down, but why do they do it?

There are many possible reasons for this it could be for a youtube video or they just want to show off or they want to be in ratings in most gold box caught & many more reasons.

Gold Boxes are just meant to give a few crystals and a thrill experience, the rush and the fight to get that box before anybody else does. So it does not really matter if the player is a buyer or a non-buyer.

Although some people use the Gold Supply as a tactic, to takeover matches. They keep dropping golds so that the enemy team rushes for it and meanwhile they keep capturing flags. It's not a great tactic IMO because you lose more than you get :P Well that's a different issue.

Catching golds is simply fun and challenging regardless of how many crystals you have. I would fight for it in a parkour battle even if it was worthless.

I personally dont see the point in dropping gold only to catch it yourself unless its to complete a mission, all the boxes i dropped i only took 2-3 either by mistake or for a video. The reason i dropped golds was to help lower ranks than me or for players who dont spend any money on the game.

Tomato is one of those nice gold droppers :D. Anyways do u only drop for close friends or for everyone??

One thing I don't like about some of the gold droppers is that they get everyone hyped up by telling them in the chat that they are gonna drop. Then they make a map, invite friends and then post the map when it is almost full and then u basically have no chance of getting in  .

I drop golds sometimes and I don't do that but there are some that do. ( I know this might be irrelevant to the topic but I just mentioned it so... )

Thx

I drop for anyone, Well I used too. I had to stop as i was getting too much hate

here is just 1 example of what i had to put up with when dropping golds for people...

Really? I get the diggers - an invite to a 1v1 non-XPBP micromap and then demands a private drop. I'd rather do RFG (both tournament-style and free-for-all) because those are fun and everyone gets a chance. And if it a mature crowd for an event, I will drop for each of those who did not get any in the event so they don't feel left out.

I usually enter a random battle and join the team up in score (but not ones with a tight score and even sides as those are good battles and does not need an upset in the balance), drop one or a few depending how lopsided the score is, congratulate those who caught gold and then move on to the next battle.

Yeah, I don't like those. I will drop at random a lot of times and just build on that rather than hyping in the lobby.

I drop for everyone and in a setting where it would be fair to most. But I drop of my own accord, never for an individual request.

I've never dropped a gold box before. Can you decide where the box drops? Or does it drop in one of the predetermined drop zones? Like could you drop it on a ramp or a landing? Or on the edge of a fence, if you could?
