48hrs experiment with supplies this weekend

In DM pretty much every 2cd - 3rd life you can briefly have all drugs on and a life ready to go.  Other than that its just luck, hoping you wont meet someone with all drugs on who is going to target you because u don't have any on. Also when you join an active battle mid game for the first 60 - 80 seconds your pretty much a mult cause you can't drug while every one else is. In conclusion there are more problems than i stated above but in my opinion this is a bad update even if its goal is noble. Oh and one last thing if tanki really wants to help the drug issue make pro pass cheeper so non drug people can buy it and make pro battles for them selves.

They've already made pro pass cheaper for ranks under Generalissimos.

Then this is just a useless update. Not to mention it will completely ruin clan wars, and be an annoyance to the whole clan community.

I some times wonder if tanki even realizes that the clan community even exists.

spent majority of my evening getting spawned kiled.........no point playing Noise if you're lower side team. No point trying to take over at lower level as other team take control of drop points and noting you can do. Please don't roll this change out

My first impression? Before use... 

Thumbing Down!! We'll see how they work out though! 

 

Initially, the fact they reduce the Active time is what is bugging me! 

Other than that? I don't think I mind the rest! 

 

Again. Just a first preliminary impression! We'll see!

Yeah I know. This is why any crying got nothing to do with this experiment. And this is why it is conducted on main servers rather than test servers. I don't look for a way to satisfy 'cry babies', I look for a specific changes in certain groups of players, which I can't do anywhere else.

Well thats insulting especially since its obviously directed at the people who dislike this "Experiment". We have the rite to give you feed back rite? Even if its conflicting be decent about it. We know you spent time working on this and to have it disliked by players may seem like an insult to your work, but you should know that tanki players do appreciate what your trying to do.

If a lot of people end up liking and disliking this experiment, you could keep it as a PRO battle option, something like Smart Cooldowns v2. :) Time to test it now.

That is obviously NOT directed at the people who dislike this "Experiment". Have you read what I quoted? That was dedicated to discussion about people who tend to whine that supplies are bad and OP. I pointed out that whining about supplies got nothing to do with this experiment, not that whining about experiment is irrelevant.

Ok i mistook the meaning of your comment a little. With that being said a sincerely hope this experiment dose not stay in the game.

How about this, extend the time for supplies to 45 seconds, like it used to be and reduce the cooldown to 30 seconds? I could live with that.

 

60 seconds is too long of a cooldown and makes games boring, and 30 seconds of supply use is too short. You can barely get in and then out of a base with a flag...

 

Best case scenario, put it back the way it was...

You ever see my idea in the "Ideas for Supplies" forum under the Ideas and Suggestions forum page? 

 

I suggested developing a "Custom" supply setting option for every Tanki Garage. And than open the flood gates for many other Supply Ideas to be included. 

 

In theory. Starting at the beginner Hull sizes (M0), Any hull at M0 has only 2-3 Supply Slots to be used. Any Supply the tanki buys goes into a general supply storage in his garage, and he has to put those supplies on to each Supply Slot. Only those placed in a supply slot are available in the Game or match. When a Hull gets upgraded to M1, it gains another slot. So Tankis at higher level Hulls gain more supply options, pitting them stronger against other Tankis with same size Hulls. 

 

With so many optional Supply ideas mentioned on the Idea thread I mentioned above... It can be an unimaginable amount of Combo of Supplies that each Tanki can have available for his own battle exp, however, each Only limited to just a few slots per battle. Unless of course they go to Garage mid battle, which I believe i suggested on my listed idea they could limit that to.

 

I notice they already put new time limits on how often you can change equip... but if they give visit to Garage One free visit per fight, any visit to garage after that free one will cost some CRY, and every visit that battle following will cost a little more... so thus preventing Tanki's from visiting Garage and switching up their Supply slots too many times will in the end cost the tanki more! 

 

Lastly... Customizing the Supply slots... You decide WHAT Number key uses what Supply! Your own supply slots get tied to # keys 1-5 or 6, depending how high the Supply slots go upto M4 Hulls. 

 

This idea would just be another idea every Tanki could use to Customize their use of their Garage... along with choosing your own hull, own turret, own protection, own paint... now choose what Supplies you have available? I think would just go with the whole customization theme TankiO is developing. Further. At low levels, with only 2-3 slots available for M0 Hulls... not many options they can choose to custom. No more stocking up on Defense, Damage, Speed, Repair, Mines... etc... Only 2-3 of those at M0 would be available to any one tanki, chosen by themselves what they have, and any other supplies simply sit in their Garage Supply Storage. This alone would be a key reason to use Custom Supply Slots, limiting the use of Supplies across the board.

As a mid ranked buyer of limited skill who primarily plays DM I really like this change. Maybe it creates certain issues for high rank players engaging in clan wars etc but I cannot relate to these personally- perhaps you could have different rules for different ranks? Prior to the change I felt the imbalance between myself and non-buyers in DM was excessive. After these changes I still have a very large advantage over non-buyers but it feels like it has been somewhat curtailed. Obviously, it is subjective but the balance now between myself and non-buyers feels about right. Perhaps now the abuse of buyers/druggers could also be curtailed. Noob drugger is one thing, wishing me dead (in real life) is another

Pretty much the exact same system is being implemented into Tanki X right now.

We non buyers are an important part of Tanki too, without us you'd be running maybe 2 english servers and 5 russian servers at the most. We are not crybabies when we say that today's supplies cause tremendous imbalance, we're just telling it how it is.

 

Most "druggers" like easy wins, they'll join teams with the most higher ranks and premium users and that is winning. If you're lucky that's your team, many times they want all for themselves, like when they get the flag and stick around to kill and then wait for them to spawn to kill them again, and then maybe go capture the flag.

 

If you're in the loosing team you have an uphill battle. Yes, we can use supplies too, but we don't have 1500 of each at our disposal.

 

Many times I do use a lot of supplies, hoping for a turnaround to put my team in the positive numbers so we can attract oportunistic players with better equipment and many supplies to our team, sometimes works but it is very hard. If it doesn't work, you're asking yourself why you didn't leave in time like some already did.

 

We will use supplies, but it is very frustating. Is that good for Tanki?

 

Maybe you devs need to start new playing accounts to play yourselves and not buy anything and see how a non buyer feels.

 

We are not asking for total balance, we just want it to be reasonable.

First observations of the new CD system, the time doesn't fit tanki's fast based battles. Half of the game would usually be gone by the time you get to the 3rd DP. If it's going to be implemented regardless please tweak the time to be less.

There wer battle where I was killed 5x upon spawning. My entire team was mercilessly slaughtered upon sparing by Groups of 3-5 take. In situation like that I have no choice but to go full drug mode with my thunder.

Killed 5 enemies then my team start Respawning and later them the tide of the death match. While I don't like druggers, there are situation where it will be necessary.

Unless of course Tank creates safe spawn zones

Ah, as always players with "Pro" in the name are the biggest druggers and we already have one in the comments :D Cool.

 

I think it is a good direction I strongly support it and I think you should continue towards it. It makes games more balanced and emphasizes some so called pros insecurities and lacking of certain things :D What's not to love about it.

2) AND the multers/saboteurs succeed far more often now!!!!!!!!!

Just played with you in the same map and saw nothing of the kind though read your complaints in chat. I think you need your personal Cooldown time and pls make it longer.
