48hrs experiment with supplies this weekend

I played several battles now, and my main complaint is that with the Hornet you have no way to defend against bigger hulls. The choice is that you have to choose either a bigger hull or leave the game. I will choose the latter.

​You are true, but how often are teams balanced? I play this game longer than 3.5 years and I know what I am talking about.

 

You completely missed the point of this experiment (reducing the huge gap between druggers and non-druggers). It's effective in that regard. Of course if you have a better idea to reduce that gap, let us know.

When they made a lots of possibilities in shop, they expected some players will buy those drug kit, golds etc. And now the buyers, who are sending TO lots of money, so TO can work, buyers should have some advantages.

 

 

Nah. There are too many options already. They should reduce them instead of adding more. Friendly fire should be the first to drop.

 

​I agree with removing of friendly fire, but why not more options. Developers are adding more guns, DR, XC ...

​So why not another supplies mode?

 

 

Define dynamic. And dynamic for who? The druggers?

 

​When it's drug battle, if u enter it u should expect that there will be drugers. If u have problem with it, go play nondrugs battles.

Kill you many times? Really? The initial supply cooldown is 20 seconds. In that time you can die twice at MOST.

But you are not playing against 1 player. One has supplies, he will kill you, but then come 3 another enemies and do the same with you. It depends on current situation. But if u won't die, just press P, or hide somewhere - really funny gaming...

I'm getting ready to Stop playing Tanki Online. I'm so sick and tired of people complaining about drugs. One thing these people can do Is go to a battle that is private. Its that simple and most of the private battles don't allow drugs at least 90%. Why do you guys have them in the game? just take out all the way? we cant use them as it is with all these restriction, here is one thing I need drugs just to do good in a battle and still die more then kills. Tanki Online is failing it isn't about the game anymore its about money for you guys. I understand you have to make money but the way you have broken the game down to pay for every little thing is simply ridiculous.

I think with smart supplies will be better. A lot of non-skill using all supplies and later waiting to activate them again. So smart-supplies is something necessary !

It was great. I have enough supplies to drug tactically when I need. Buyers still have an advantage (RK), but the gap should be much smaller than it was before.

Yeah, that's the problem. I think buyers shouldn't have that much advantage. Btw, I bought already in this game, I'm not a non-buyer. I just don't buy a lot.

If this experiment gets implemented, any free player will be able to save up enough supplies to play effectively every day.

How can acitivating all supplies at one saves our supply?

i agree more campers .. also the drops have decreased , there slower then before .. here is proof on how bad i had to battle today compared to yesterdays games ..which most of my battles are with in the top four positions ...and for the record i'm not a bad player .. when im great on deference ..but today i found twins were way too powerful to even get a shot on .. rail still takes me out in one shot.. when fire is still op / freeze well only a small handful use it now.. also for the new striker lol you can't even battle with it cause in one to two shoots from others its dies ..

 

go back to the drawing board and think of ways to fix or improve the game .. EDUCATE ON WHERE U WENT WRONG... also our ratings are getting destroyed from this update (  experiment for 48 hours   )

The only thing that makes tanki unfair is the delusion it should be fair.  :) Nothing is fair people nothing! Forreal tho, you made an option to turn off drugs why even bother with this update? Druggers vs Druggers nothing unfair about it. Maybe y'all should focus on mults, hackers and unstable servers rather than focus on unnecessary( really) updates.

What if developers change the mechanism of automatic battles (non-pro) and it creates non-drugg battles, so druggers can make pro battle and play with smart supplies/fulldrugg.  Everyone will be happy. Non-druggers and non-buyers can play without drugs in fair battles and they don't need to buy pro pass.

dont like this system at all so hard coordinate drugs and the most irritating thing is suppose u activated double armor and after that gold box will drop now if u die u cant use the armor anymore untill the cooldown finish and why make this useless update those who dont have drugs can play pro games

 think we need a parliament in which elected players discuss about these ideas before it is brought to the game in which they can scrap the idea or improve, their decisions will be based on players since they are elected by them which I believe is much more fairer

A game is no democracy. If it would be, then most players would vote for free crystals. Btw, in real life most democracies turn into "ruled by greedy people who please the selfish ones to stay in power, instead of thinking about the greater good".

 

Still I do like the idea to have a set of players, that play low, mid and high ranks on a regular base, and dicsuss stuff like that with the dev's. Not that they should have a veto.. but they should be sound and clever people, able to give good advice.. and the dev's should take advantage of them and discuss the ideas with them. I think it would improove the game.

But you can not vote them.. voting does not work, as it gives decision power to the voters, and most voters decide.. bad.

I played a little today and here's what I think:

The new system makes it a lot more difficult to steamroll which may seem good at a first glance but at the same time it reduces the possibility of turning the tide of a battle when joining the losing side so battles aren't anymore as fun for people who find pleasure in this. Additionally, many people will just wait (too much time) for drops in order to attack or wouldn't attack at all and just camp near a DD drop which, in some cases, is not as beneficial for the team.

Gameplay in DM is a bit different too. Now when people don't have drugs on hide and avoid any encounter with players on drugs and try to steal some kills from a relatively safe distance (or they just pause the game until they can use drugs again).

Playing with a partner or in an organized group seems now to offer even more benefits considering that you can't be on triple drugs the whole game (theoretically it is possible, but it doesn't really seem likely to happen) so coordination with teammates is more important. 

The gap between casual druggers and druggers with infinte supplies seems to have decrased because of the new system which may be the reason some people enjoy the experiment.

However, there are still people that complain. I'm talking about 2 types of people:

1. Players who have lost a certain advantage because of the implemented restrictions. They have paid crystals (maybe even real money) for a certain in-battle advantage which seems now to have diminished so it is somewhat understandable that people from this category complain.

2. Players who still refuse to drug regularly  or refuse to drug at all. Maybe they can't afford, maybe they have other reasons not to drug. The problem with these people is that they constantly enter non-PRO battles. These people represent a minority, but I strongly believe something needs to be done in order to help them enjoy the game and stop complaining. Somehow they should be encouraged to create or enter no-supply battles that suit their needs and some good suggestions have already been given in order to acomplish this.

Overall, I am against this update. For me the disadvantages outweigh the advantages mainly because of the changes in gameplay. Another reason would be my skill level (consiering other players' opinions and my rating).
