48hrs experiment with supplies this weekend

Please have TO as unique as possible from TX because your updates are getting out of hand, hope this is only an experiment and will not be patched into the game, this "experiment" will ruin stgs as defending the gold won't be as effective hence faster stg times which the defenders don't want.

 

Whatever's in TX from now on stays in TX

Reminds me of what the developers did to supplies in TX. I thought that it worked out pretty well in that game, hopefully things go relatively smoothly here.

 

In TX, I don't necessarily have to worry about destroying a drugger in a hard-fought 1v1 confrontation and then facing their freshly respawned and drug-addled tank a few seconds later. It makes using supplies have more consequence, since the long and persistent cooldown punishes you for poor choices a lot more than simply waiting until your next respawn. I like it because there's less drug use overall, and if you wait and play your cards right, you can pummel other players when their supplies are all on cooldown for some sweet revenge. The removal of smart cooldowns means that you can also 234 in an instant if all your supplies are ready. Fun to do every once in a while.

 

I look forwards to seeing how this goes. If you hate it, it should only be active for 2 days assuming it remains an experiment, which seems bearable to me.

Another dumb idea and waste of time.  Tanki has bugs that don't get fixed.  The documentation for kits has been screwed up for months. The battles shown on every server include options not selected.  The client crashes (I had a crash in the last 12 minutes of a 2 hour battle).  Customer Service is almost never responsive or helpful.  

 

No time to fix those problems - but plenty of time to mess around with cool down periods.  No thought given to what's fair to players who shelled out cash money to buy garage supplies.  You just screw them.  In effect, every supply they paid for will be worth LESS now... which is self-defeating for Tanki.  It's like you're planning to steal 25% of everything they paid for and make the rest of what they paid for not work as well.  I'm sure they'll be eager to buy again - NOT!

 

So, don't fix the things that are wrong.  Screw up the things that don't matter. Pull the rug out from under the people who send you money.  Sounds like a Tanki-Customer-Service-Style "strategy".

Oh please! This is a futile attempt to satisfy those little kids in battles who go "Drugger drugger waahhhh he has no skill!" Supplies are pricey for a reason- I don't want the money I spent on them to go to waste just because of a sudden update.

Actually this means you can have all your supplies activated at once.  it is actually not nerfing supplies, just making them more strategic.

 

But bye-bye to those who just depend on supplies. Good riddance I say. You've had your time to reap the rewards.

What is the point Hazel? You should know after 2 weeks of this being in the game those cry babies will start to cry again. You can't beat them, so why destroy the fun for the rest of us?

Actually it doesn't reduce supplies as much as you think, only changes the way the work. You can be invincible for a short time then more vulnerable.

 

Of course there will still be stuff to improve. But it's a step in the right direction when the developers listen to the community.

 

If a change like this will "destroy your fun" I am speechless. Guess what's been destroying a lot of people's fun? ;)

So you love lavish use supplies - but only against other players who also drug heavily, eh?  Hmm.

 

Well then sir I have news for you. You like the game with DA/DD removed. Let's do the math: Your DD cancels out the other guy's DA. Your DA cancels out his DD.  The game plays exactly the same as if neither of you used a single Supply.  Yet you spend money - real money - to obtain ... nothing.

 

 

 

Games without drugs are incredibly boring. They last for hours. Games with full drugs when both teams are drugging against each other, it becomes less about who can kill the other, but more about who can flip and block their opponent. The drug community understands this and tanki will be loosing a lot of their income if tanki puts this in their game forever.

This is overhype. Supplies will still be quite powerful. And in fact this should result in more games with drugs.  

 

P.S. The artillery should help the no-supply battles in terms of flag captures.

You will be able to activate supplies a maximum of 10 times per battle...

 

The whole idea of this is to not make you 4x as powerful, what do that do? Make you 4x as powerful with no cooldowns. :LOL:

 

I tried the system in TX when it was around. Its broken....

Apparently supplies as well. If only people knew how to press number keys. :/ 

I think it's a bit of the "crybaby" attitude you so detest if you think an update like this will ruin your fun and make you quit the game.

 

Again, I don't know whether this is a good idea or not, an improvement or not. What I like is that the at least are doing something, talking about it, based on player feedback. :)

yea and with this update what i found ..was that if you play tanki and tanki x there is a limited time slot in order to kill off players if you time it right .. for those who re spawn into battles .. so more get killed before they even get a chance to move from there location.. due to you can't activate drugs ..in the lower ranks for tanki X its not a issue cause most have no clue yet on how to take players out on spawning .. as you do get higher u do see more raging happening.. it happened here back in 2015 and further back  ... when they also changed the system .. in tanki X there is less druggers that i can see on lower ranks/...

agreed like i posted before a drugger will out smart the system due to they time the drops to a certain beat ...

for those who were here in the past ( before Dec 2015 ) will remember all of the past up dates that were similar to this and what happened .. we had complaints on being taken out as soon as we were spawning in battles to struggling to even battle cause certain tanks were m4 against m3 not upgraded and it was like a moving target , way too easy to hit ...

 

see if tanki removed drugs from missions we would be forced to either buy with crystals or $$ for them .. also you would also see less players complaining about battles.. also due note tanki x does not have a open chat room / but does have a forum which i see only a few players chatting daily ..so if there complaining its more off screen.. if tanki followed tanki x which they have been and did away with drugs in missions  , as it is there now , you still see druggers in battles ..there is little tanki can do but to remove them completely and i can't see this happening cause they would loose a huge chunk of revenue for the company.. not only would sales go down also the amount of players would leave to other games .

 

will get a better link about changes back then

 

the chat back in 2015 is no different then it is now

So this bald guy in the video mentioned about supplies beating skills in Tanki? What skills? What kind of skills are there in tanki lol, a guy shooting with railgun from long range? How can a supply beat a skill lol. The real skills I've seen on tanki is from Gold Box videos and parkour, that's a skill. So many questions about this update because it literally makes no sense. I hope this is only an experiment, but obviously knowing tanki developers, they will make it permanent <_<

Whatever they do, the average mentality and level of players remains the main problem. Campers using supplies remain campers.

fully agree ...a player will do what it takes to win or get the most kills for his account ...

Why do you keep ruining supplies? You've already made a pro battle option.... 

 

IF YOU DON'T HAVE SUPPLIES, DON'T JOIN !!!!!!!

 

There are plenty of no-supply battles these days, stop complaining and start thinking.

 

Complaining about supplies is nonsense with the pro battle updates..

Well, skill is generally considered how good a player you are. It's quite a vague term and some forms of "skill" include drug usage.

 

Supplies are supposed to provide an advantage, just like skill. They should cancel other advantages and provide a higher platform to play from. I quite understand that purpose.  However, the point of the game is not "get more supplies to win".

Any chance when you have finished twiddling with the supplies you could sort out the mess that is the SHAFT.?

The elevation and depression are absolute rubbish now. Feel cheated having spent hard earned crystals to upgrade the turret to have it turned into a joke. You try playing Rio when the clown guns are on the roof.
