declined Add special forum sections for general questions/topics with threaded comments

Basically, on my school's system they have a forum thing for discussions. The thread starts like a normal one but you ccan reply to each reply to the main thread. 

 

If this could be possible (I am sure it is - they probably got a plugin for it) - I would like to see that here too.

Now the design on the school's online area is different from this forum but as you could tell there was a main Thread then there were sub threads and you can reply to each sub thread. 

 

Doing this could make it sooooo much easier to get questions answered considering its a large topic. 

 

As well as other things e.g. Ideas for Supplies etc.

I don't see why this is necessary. We already have sub-forums (main threads), topics, and replies to them. You can reply to a topic or reply to a reply within the topic. What does this system add that we don't already have?

If you look closely you can reply to each added "Thread" within the main thread. 

 

So it would be structured - making it easier to find questions e.g. common questions - people should go there first right? well if you organize it a bit, it will help make it easier to find things. 

 

And its odd ball questions. And then questions that are old e.g. What are the sales for Chirstmas 2015 - mods can remove to clear clutter. 

 

If you look closely at the pic  - you got a Main Thread then a sub thread. - and then sub threads to those.

Making them more structured, would create a simplicity of finding answers and not having to go through so many darn pages. 

 

It really wouldn't be that hard to implement. (with plugins)

 

Maybe I still didn't explain enough basicly it would be like facebook where you can comment on a post and then you can reply to those comments.

Well, I still don't see how this is different to our forum. Sure, the layout is different, but it's still the same concept - people post threads (topics) within a thread (sub-forum) of a particular theme and others reply to those threads. And you can use the search option to find whatever interests you.
