Tankers update of private chat in open chat is one of the best update in the history of tanki online.... but there is one one more thing need to be done.... 

 

when we send some one message in open chat then we sometimes by mistake send public chat instead of private chat ...and we dont know untill someone tell us that... hey bro why are you saying in public your private life.... on listening this sometimes we just feel embarrassed that instead of sending our message in private chat we are sending it in public chat...

 

so I think there is a need of some highlight or color change feature for private chat in open chatting so that we can easily know that we are sending message to someone in private chat....

There is already a difference between PM and public messages. When you send a PM, the symbol between your name and the name of the recipient is an arrow (→), rather than a long dash (—). Although I agree that it's a subtle difference, so it would make sense to add some additional differentiation, like an offset from the left side of the chat window. The only problem with setting a different colour is that chat will be hard to read when you end up with 4-5 different tones depending on the type of message.

Wow, but I think that too many other players had never seen this difference as well as me (I've been having a lot of time without using the chat). And players like me and the newbies could never see the difference, there must exists a more notorious one.

Right now, when you chat privately, your chat shows white like all other chats, but the one you're chatting with shows up black. When I'm chatting with a few and one is a private chat, sometimes I wonder if I clicked on "Private" in the drop down menu. I'm sure that my chat is seen by the other player in black, but I see it in white. 

 

Suggestion: When in Private Chat, make it so the sender sees his own chat in black, not white.

Now when we click on a player's name we have the option to send a private message, I think this way there will be no more confusion.

Pretty sure this was already an option in Flash, so the functionality isn't any different. However, this idea comes from a time when public lobby chats had a nonstop flow of messages and it was easy to lose track of the messages you sent (because they aren't highlighted). These days I don't think this is ever a problem, so the suggestion isn't really relevant anymore.
