Firstly, before i say what i wanna say, i am going to say that i respect all chat mods and their judgements.

Ok, as you can see some kid called hakkeritipu is spamming but instead someone wars and bans a random person who is not even in the chat called rati_smokey.

Because of people flooding the chat the whole server becomes laggy. Im not sure if the mod on duty here was high, drunk or just wanted to troll someone. But what the actual is going on?

And you're expecting chat mods to be online 24/7?

Im not saying anything about 24/7. look at the two pics taken today you can clearly see a mod banned someone else and not the spammer. If someone got warned or banned that does mean that a mod/admin is online to bane them

Well , somone banned that guy

There is a thing called "antiflood system". It's an automatic system introduced 3 years ago, made to prevent players from flooding and to automatically ban those who are flooding without an assistance from a "human" moderator. Bans you are mentioning in this case are made by that system.

Now, it is obvious that it doesn't work properly and we already complained about it to developers on several occasions, as I did mention on the forum couple of times. I hope the issue will be addressed soon, as Hazel said on the livestream last night, developers do plan to focus on major issues in the game in the future months and I assume structural chat issues will be among them.

I can guarantee you that a real chat mod in the server chat would instantly ban that flooder and hide all their messages. What happened here is most likely a case of the game's anti-flood system not being able to detect one type of flood, but detecting the other.

Player "rati_smokey" most likely posted a single message in chat that contained a lot of repetitive symbols like ".............................................." and the automatic anti-flood system instantly banned him instead of publishing the message because he probably already got a warning for flood elsewhere very recently (therefore this time he got banned right away). So it wasn't an actual chat mod giving one ban and ignoring the other flooder.

This is an issue with the anti-flood itself, in a sense that it can't detect when a single long message is posted many times in a row. However, keep in mind that there is still a message delay present, so this player probably posted all these messages over a long period of time, suggesting that the chat is inactive, so his actions were not too disruptive for others. So, this is not a case of chat mods being blind or discriminating, and you should also keep in mind that they can't be on all servers 24/7, so some violations do slip through unnoticed.

If you would like to comment on this, please send a PM to either myself or chat administrator (above).
