Repair kit experiment

Correct me if I'm wrong but the repair kit regenerates 2000 points of your health in 2 seconds, which is 1000 points a second. Currently.


So this experiment that I'm suggesting is to increase the duration of the repair kits from 2 seconds to 5 seconds. And don't worry, it'll still regenerate 2000 points of health, but it'll take longer since it'll be 400 points a second then.


What do you guys think?

The repair kit was recently nerfed to make it more balanced. Since this idea is also basically suggesting a nerf for the repair kit, I'm marking it completed.

 


This was already in the game a while ago, and I don't like the idea. It makes repair kits marginally weaker, but a LOT more frustrating to use, because most of the time you end up wasting it when it doesn't heal you fast enough and you die before it actually does any good. I was really happy when the healing speed was increased and frankly, I don't want to experience that again.

I already find repair kits frustrating to use, especially when a hammer shoots you with a DD just as you're repairing - I usually die -_-.

Being honest, I would probably go and find an isida to heal me over five seconds instead of bothering repairing because I would almost certainly die...

RK just needs to be instant. Right now there is ticks missing. When you press 1 it takes some time to actualy heal you and i die a lot during this time.

Yea, the 15 HP (I think later boosted to 30 HP after the rebalance) a second? And Mammoth had 350 HP at that time. It took 24 seconds for it to heal fully, don't even mention how hard Gold hunting was then... Everyone with DD on and a slow repair? Most people died because they activated it too late. :LOL:

 

I prefer the current system.

I disagree with your idea it will make game unstable

Hmm, I don't remember it being that bad. I think it was something like at most 10 seconds to full heal.

Yea, like I said, it was probably 30 HP. That means it would be just over 10 seconds.

It's kinda similar in a way to be honest well to me it is. The only difference is that any damage the player receives will interrupt the additional healing in the current repair kit as well as just getting 1000 hp instantly. Other than that, it feels similar.

Well, reason I was asking is because perhaps this update means that this idea is no longer applicable and can be marked as completed. And also I'm addicted to marking ideas "completed". :ph34r:

The RK nerf has basically made close-ranged weapons OP. They were somewhat underpowered before the update, however, so this was a good move. Maybe they will be nerfed slightly in the near futre.
