Make Striker's laser different from Shaft's

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

We know these two turrets work differently. So, I think the laser should also be different among these turrets.

Why? It's due to the strategies. If you are aimed by Striker, you can simply move away from the laser, and so, make yourself harder to shot. But if you are aimed by Shaft, it's most likely you'll die.

I have had some experiences which lead me to suggest it.

Read a more concrete example here.

Leave your feedback bellow! ;)

I always get confused on distinguishing the Shaft from the Striker laser

Me not :P they way the laser moves, I can tell immediately if it's a Shaft or a Striker.

You should definitely add this to the I&S. I always get confused on distinguishing the Shaft from the Striker laser, which sometimes affects my gameplay in certain scenarios.

Initially, I didn't know if post it in I&S section or not... Finally, I decided to post it here, to find out if there are cases related with this problem.

And if this is the wrong section, the forum moderators will move it to the correct place.

Well, i didn't have a case like that in the game already :P

But yeah, it would be nice if both turrets have different laser colour c:

I had not thought an exact difference between the lasers, but a different colour would be a great option.

Me not :P they way the laser moves, I can tell immediately if it's a Shaft or a Striker.

Not all the players are able to distinguish these lasers with their movements.

Don't see a need to distinguish between a shaft and a striker laser. It should be part of the game to know (or learn the hard way) who you're facing. And anyway, as mentioned the lasers move quite differently.

^ Yes, a Striker's laser is very dynamic, it moves very quickly due to the turning speed of Striker itself, unlike Shaft, which has a slow turning speed.

When Striker was first released I thought the laser should be a different color. But now I agree with the posters who pointed out the Striker's laser is much more "jiggly".

You say some players cannot tell the difference? That is just one of the many flavors of skill. Get skilled or get killed.

Noo... I disagree. That just adds a bit more of tactics, and strategy to Striker and occasionally Shaft, as they can fool people or confuse them, and that is a pretty smart and hilarious move heh :P

If a laser touches you and you aren't dead within the next second, it's probably a Striker! Or just a sleepy Shaft. :P

How about when a laser is trained on a pathway/door. It would be helpful to know whether you could run across quickly or get blasted by shaft

Most skilled Shafts do not wait around in scope mode with their laser somewhere.  However, if they are covering a narrow open section, it's probably a Shaft, because a Striker would know they wouldn't have time to get the lock-on.

It's quite easy to tell the difference from the way they move. If you can't, you must learn. ;)

Great Idea Guys But How bout When Your Targeted By A Striker who's Fully Targeted You and is About to Fire You Get a

( Yellow Triangle With !  On It )      Above your Tank Or on your Side

And if you do add this maybe Decrease Striker Targeting Time by 10Seconds Or Something to make it more fair

(like how shaft now has Laser)

Just a Great Idea I though Of

Cheers
