Make Striker's laser different from Shaft's

It takes a few seconds for striker to lock on. Unless you just sit there and let it fire, theres no threat.

I sometimes actually do that. Out of pity :D Those poor striker nubs probably never manage to get a full salvo out.

scoping around using the laser to "flush" out targets is great. Using the terrain to block or flicker the laser helps to create a striker effect causing some player to think they can outrun the kill shot - they can't.

Its not broken so it doesn't need fixing.

Having people believe I am only a striker is fine by me.

That all depends on how the person uses striker in response of your movements, i.e lets say you're a wasp in the centre of stadium, if the striker can successfully manouvre his turret well, he will NOT miss you regardless of how much you try to move, also dont forget the splash too.

If the striker user is a 'newbie' then it wont really be an issue letting him lock on, but we're getting sidtracked from the main topic, different coloured lasers will just make it more complicated as in a ctf or tdm or CP, u would need a total of four laser colours, and teams are already red and blue, by adding another two colours, it would introduce confusion for a while.

If you wanted dashed lines as a laser, maybe possible as the turret would need to send short pulses of 'light' but it's just more work for the game.

No, don't make the laser different...it brings home some tactics, as the enemy doesn't immediately recognize it and has to halt before moving, with a fear...

While at the same time, it's fun to play again such thing.

PS: I don't have striker, neither do I intend to buy it.

With shaft I don't expect to flip wasps, I expect to kill them all, lets not turn shaft into a shot mode of striker now -.-

You flip them and then another shot and it is dead.

Then you would have to do that to shaft and people still don't like the hide & snipe approach. They would be even more upset without some help by way of the laser trail back to the shooter.

Face it that's the penalty for getting a heavy hit on target.

Just hide then shoot & scoot.

I disagree...

I feel the lasers should be the exact same because it gives striker players more of an element of fear. In my opinion if I see a laser in game right now I don't know if it is a shaft or a striker.. and I like that, it puts more risk in your game play.

If im in a game when striker has a different laser I feel like it will be less of a threat (because its so easy to avoid tbh)

But.. this is just my opinion... :D

Whenever Shaft or Striker are targeting us, it makes this team colored laser line but..

How am i supposed to know what is firing at me?

So my idea is this. Have a different type of laser or a different color for us to know the difference

Let's say i'm fighting vs someone and i'm being targeted by this laser behind me, i wanna know what to do in this situation, go hide from the shaft or dodge the rockets from the Striker.

Simple idea with big effect:

Give Shaft a red laser in team red and blue in team blue

and give Striker an orange laser in team red and a green one in team blue

(Maybe different colors)

I hope they change it. I often get confused whether I'm being aimed at by a Shat or Striker when the enemy is aiming from the far side. Knowing which turret you're going to get hit by will be helpful in general gameplay as Striker can easily be dodged as it takes quite a few seconds before it starts shooting whereas Shaft is close to impossible to get by.

Shaft can power-up without a target (while hiding laser) and then shoot immediately without any real warning. Instant hit/kill.

Only inexperienced Shaft users reveal the laser/position without a target.

Striker on the other hand can only start the process when target is in view. Then during the power-up the target can avoid the lock-on (it takes a while) and also enemies can now target the Striker which is basically a beacon. You'd be surprised how often the lock-on fails and the striker dies while trying to target someone. It can't hide the laser like Shaft does.

My Idea was Kinda um Silly to decrease the time on STTRIKER but the Triangle Indicater thingo Would be great!!! IK change it to have the last 15 seconds before it fires have the Triangles appear near your tank Just MY Suggestion LooK at my PREVIOUS POST HERE TO get a IDEA what I meant

There is already a subtle difference between the lasers; Striker's laser is rather shaky but Shaft's is much more steady.
