Make Striker's laser different from Shaft's

I sometimes actually do that. Out of pity :D Those poor striker nubs probably never manage to get a full salvo out.

What's even better is allowing them to fully lock, shoot, then you hide behind a wall and all their shots go in vain.  :lol:

Or just hide behind your own team-mate and the counter starts up again.  Plenty of time to kill the striker trying in vain to get a lock.

 

It needs a tweak desperately.

The problem is that the Striker shots go directly toward the target even if the target is behind an obstacle.  Striker needs an aiming buff that directs the rockets towards the nearest wall, inflicting splash damage upon the hiding opponent if he goes behind cover while the salvo is coming toward him.

But maybe not a good idea for Striker players. It's not like Striker is OP now.

Personally, I think Striker's laser shouldn't be visible for the first 75% of the salvo. Then, at the last 25%, let them know that they have 1 second to dive under cover or equip a DA.

 

EDIT - Even just saying "LOCKED ON" on the target's screen is better than flashing a laser because they wouldn't know where the sniper is. Just get rid of the laser; it's stupid.

Perhaps it could be a good thing to make the laser of Striker look a bit different from Shaft, just because to make both lasers more distinguishable from each other. Yeah, why not! By making both lasers different from each other would make them distinguishable to other players so they know whether they are targeted by either Shaft or Striker.

 

What I do not like here is the dotted lases. Lasers would be too hard to see if they become dotted, so my suggestion here is to leave them as they are. A continuous line without dots. A clever idea is to make the laser of Striker thicker, so players would know that its Striker targeting them.

Making the different would not be the end of the world. Not even close. But right now it's up to experience and instincts. After a while you are almost always right. I say leave it up to experience and instinct.

I think striker laser is red in both teams, right (i dont have striker). Only thing that should be changed is that blue team got blue lasers and red team red lasers. Changing look between shaft and striker laser in same team is not needed. I mean, you will die/run from both,eh?

To revive this topic and to place a very good idea, which was posted here, into a more fitting place:

 

I think rather than seeing the laser, enemies should only see the reticle when they're being locked on instead. That way the target knows it's being locked by a Striker, but it won't know where it's coming from.
