I just came back to tell y'all that I got a 6k scholarship for uni, but that in reality I get a free 6k.

 

 

Let me explain. Recently, we had elections in NZ because it's election year (DUH) and Labour (the left wing party) won the elections. One of their policies was that the first year of tertiary education is free. Because I got the scholarship, they have to give me the money, but because my studies are being paid for, the university is just giving me 6k instead. So that's hype.

 

tl;dr version:

Because of politics working for once, I got 6k

 

 

 

I'm gone again now, but I just wanted to say have fun.

Luckyyyy :D Enjoy that 6k then xD here in Malta education is free all the way to uni, but you actually get paid (it's not much, more like pocket money according to your attendance, but better than nothing xD) if you decide to continue studying past the legal requirement :p I probably won't 6k tho xD

College = University in most countries, but not here. 11th grade, the study after High school education. Same for you? :D

... we don't have high school either :ph34r: ahaha it's a weird system, based on the English system xD school is obligatory till 16 years of age, then you may if you want to go to '6th form schools' which are places where you only stay for 2 years, then after that if you get the necessary requirements you may go to universit :p
