completed Desktop notifications for Tanki forum

The name explains all. I think it'd be nice if we could get desktop notifications for the forum because sometimes I am just typing some documents on my computer, and I want to be notified of any notifications. Good or bad?

The TX forum and Russian TO forum already have that option, but that's because they use the same forum engine, which is more advanced than this one. It isn't possible to do with this forum, but it's already planned to upgrade this one to the new forum engine and once that happens, desktop notifications will become an option.

I don't know the ins and outs of this forum engine, but I'm pretty sure it can't be done.

It is possible no matter the version. Basically you would have to write your own code - but it is possible, or with plugins. But why add a plugin when they can add it with a upgraded Forum version?

A lot can be done with plug-ins, but yeah - you're precisely right.

At a any point of time Tanki's engine will be changed? Flash is too old.. It requires better graphcis card than other game does

 

I play crysis 2 at 30 around fps but in tanki i can't use any other than mip mapping and get 60 fps...

Yes, they are planning to shift it onto HTML5.

 

Anyway- maybe you should consider a better computer I find Tanki is not a graphic-heavy or memory-heavy game at all.

I agree, however, there are still lots of computers which can't support Tanki Online at all. I have one of them.

Desktop notifications are now available in the new Forum engine, and can be enabled or disabled in the Forum's Notification Settings.
