Contest [Issue 64] Design an Event

Hello laggers! April Fool's Day event is finished and long gone, and surely you are now looking forward to playing the next one. Bummer the next one takes place in months -- and you are too impatient to wait that long. What if Tanki Online had more events? What if you have a grand event idea for the Game and you were in charge of organizing it?

This is your opportunity to create and design a new Tanki Online event! You only get one shot, do not miss your chance to blow this opportunity, as it only comes once in a lifetime! Carpe diem!

Task

 

Your task, if you choose to accept it, is to design a similar Tanki Online themed event, in a comparable way of the Women's Day or the April Fool's Day. Your design would be for a specific celebration day of your choice (real or fictive). You will create a name, provide a date and write an appealing description of this event. To complete the concept you will need to provide a drawing of the design of the Gold Box, its drop zone marker and a special paint. Good luck!

 

 

The Rules

1. Your entries must be drawn on paper.

2. Your design must include color! Black and white entries will be accepted only if related to the theme.

3. After you have drawn your design you must take a photo of it, upload it to an image hosting website and then post it here. The better the quality and resolution of the photo, the greater are your chances of winning.

4. Your post must include the following information:
i) Your event's name.
ii) Date of the event.
iii) A brief description of the event like it would be pitched on the Game News. Do not include Sales, this is Not about sales! Any entry with sales idea will be axed on spot by my mighty axe!
iv) The Gold Box drop zone mark design,
v) The Gold Box design and crystal reward.
vi) The Holiday paint design - a small sample of the paint (as you see it in the garage) and/or a draw a tank with the paint (if you are good at drawing).
5. Your drawing must include your nickname anywhere on your paper.

6. Reserving posts will result in disqualification.

7. Only one entry per individual is allowed. This includes alternate accounts!

8. And most importantly, plagiarism will result in immediate disqualification.

Event name: The International Viking Day
Date: May 8^th
Description: A thousand years ago, Viking warrior considered the 8^th of May as the right time to depart for raiding riche and faraway lands. The previous weeks they had polished their shields, sharpened their axes and swords, and prepped their ships in the wait of this day. Today this is your time to bringing alive this tradition by celebrating this day as a true Viking: fit your protection module, choose carefully your weapon, and dress your best ride with the special Viking paint. Now you are ready to raid the battlefield and fill your ship with Gold Boxes Hoard and spread the joyful message that the Vikings are on the rampage once more.

Tips

 

Be creative in your design! The best creative and constructed concept (not necessary the best drawing) shall pick my interest and therefore get a greater chance to win. Think outside the box and stay simple.

This is just for fun and lots of crystals and any such event will never be included in the game (well, "Never say never" my cousin, Warulf the Mult, usually shout before cracking open a foe's skull). I was really excited for this contest thinking it'd be a writing task and then I found that it involved drawing ...

No offense but I really hate drawing contests and the same people generally win. I guess it is for diversity but I feel that this contest could've been split into two parts - a written one (with description and festivities) and a creative one (drawing Gold drop zones and paints, etc).

No split, it is much interesting to have both, the drawing and the pitch to sell it.

mk Sonny. Last month was quite productive on contest, so those 2 were postponed to this month.

It's time machine paradox, not sure if I'm in the past or the present!?

 

For the contest you need 3 things.

- an idea

- a drawing

- a text

With this holistic approach, everybody has a chance, you can be average on drawing but explain well with a good text and vice-versa.

Nevertheless if you are good at both but your idea is ordinary, it won't help you.

You should have a try. You never know.

However, in the sudden rush of emotions and frantic preparation, we often forget what makes Valentine's day so special. We often take for granted what represents, defines and indeed makes Valentine's day. Sadly, we often ignore the unsung hero behind it all: the rose.

 

Today, Rose day, February 7th, marks the beginning of Valentine's week and is the day of the year to remember the great angiosperm. So put on your paints, look out for the unique golds and celebrate the rose!

It is a really good entry as it fit all the requirement and the spirit of the contest.

 

Maybe you meant to do the same event? In that case, no you can't make the a rose day event, that would count as plagiarism.
