Supplies experiment #2 this weekend

All these people complaining about this experiment "ruining" your weekend... did you guys even read the first post? It clearly says that the normal supply settings are still available in PRO battles.

Today I drugged so much in many battles and , really I was feel very powerful and finish with top position . I used wasp m2 and m3+ rail . I  dont know what is actually developers want. This system is not reduced any gap of the buyers and nonbuyers in battle. You should do another exeperiment. Please dont implement this system. why you dont reduces supplies power ?  Actually I dont see any changes, buyers are same powerful as they are before. You should do something better.

I dont agree with you , this system don't reduced the gap between druggers and nondruggers. it will same as now system . Today I drugged so much in many battles and , really I was feel very powerful and finish with top position . So where is the gap? 

I played on the same map few days ago. I had 78 kills and 21 deaths. In this battle it was 57-21. So what you say isn't true.

It was also against better equipped enemies, all of them M2s. In the recent battle I was the highest rank.

ok so my feed back which is not good..

 

so i did a few battles and what i found was it took to long to activate the drugs once u start off in battles .. for  the early part of battles when everyone is just starting a new game, you are left to not getting any drops or very little to start out with.... but as you go along you can get them.if your lucky ... but once you do use all of the drugs up and there is no drops then your left out in the desert with no supply' s and this is when your killed off way to easy .. and once you respond you still need to wait for cool down to reactivate ..

 

so in my books this still wont stop druggers.. but it does create new  issues for all ..if anyone is using them .. it do's not make the game a smooth system..

its more a bumpy roller coaster , which most are now leaving battles part way into them .. not worth using if this is added to system .. :angry: :angry:

here we go again, heavy Druggers will cry over theire reduced ability to use 123 as fast as they can, but i feel positive about the fact that devloppers know now that the curent drugs system is not right, because of the guys ubusing the system by activating 3 2 1 buttons from the start of the battle until the very end.

 

and please nerf hammer, in legend Ranks, all are using Hammer Titan with DD+5 clips alteration ALL the time, it takes only 2 shoots to kill Mamouth M3 while it has 3 other shoots before the roload thanks to the alteration, if that is not OP, then i don't know what it is.

why is that ? what's your argument ? why this system is not good ? while the other where players who have drugs only from daily missions get slaughtered day and night, NOT because of skills, but only because they don't have enough drugs ?  why would you want the other infair system to stay ?  :huh:

you don't mind VIP paints and you don't mind the 1500 drugs kit for a simple reason, because you can get them, now, as a free player i will never get those sexy paints, and i'll never have 1500 of each drugs to back me up, and i accept that hard fact of life, but thank god that i have my skills and determination, and thank god that devloppers do care a little bit about theire free players to see how our regular drugs system made this game such an unpleasant experience for us despite doing our very best to excel our skills, and now they are fixing it.  :wub: 

 

we are In Tanki of 2017, you can't just run away to your parents wallet to buy Victory, well, you still can, in fact, but you gotta, at least, have some skill with it.

At first you're checking my account Dare.Devil, the most inactive account in the game. Check my score etc.

What about buying? Do you have problems with that? Come on, I bought the golds a half year ago for some reasons. 

 

Please go away and don't try to tell me anything about this game man, I'm wondering why you need to say things about this. Probally you don't know I started again with another account. Please try to tell us (forum users) better information, anything what's helpfull for newcomers, but please don't cry about "buyer" and things like thiz. 

 

-and yeah, the system is REALLY BAD understand? If you're not agree with me, please don't attack me WITHOUT good reasons.

once again, you say NOTHING, you just load an angry emotional reaction in your comment with no logical argument.  <_< 

 

The drugs system have so many flaws, with DD you are two times powerful from regular player, with DD & DA (you can activate one and pick other from the feild, i'm sure you do it all the time) you are now FOUR times powerful, you can kill a tanker with same hull/turret and same level of skills as you and he will only take 1/4 of your health, and with a Repair you get a second chance to be FOUR times powerful than non drugger player.

 

in 1 VS 1 battle you get huge adventage 4 to 1 and 16 to 1 if you use repair all the time, such an unbalanced batle despite you and your opponent have the same Tank and same level of skill like i said before, that's what's wrong with the drug system.

 

in team battles, guys will join your team instead of your non drugger apponent, because, well, you drug a lot and hold the point more so you gonna win and nobody want to join a loser team, as simple as that.

 

i've seen so many good polygon matches go bad just because a bunch of heavy druggers come at last moment and drug like hell and take all of our hard earned funds, not by skills, but just because they have drugs, it's sickening, and it hapens all the time.

 

The system gotta change, like it or not.

@@Apex_Predator, please stop this spam messages. If I say the system is bad, then it's my opinion right? Please, go away with things like "you are a buyer" and you don't know anything with a reason. Please stop okay? This is a topic for the supplies experiment, and I say the system is really, really bad. Then you're attacking me or whatever? Why shall I give you information about buying things? And eh... if I'm playing with this account I'm only playing XP/BP. I'm never drugging etc, so what's your problem? 

As I say GO AWAY HERE! This topic is for people who want to tell his/her opinion, and give advice about this ecperiment, and not for people like you who's crying if anyone try to explain or say the system is bad. Please join a battle, and play with your "skills". Leave this topic (better leave this forum) okay?

i'm sorry, but i ain't going anywhere, i have the right to say my opinion and you know it -_- , i'm here to stay, and the system is bad and this experience is good, i thought that you are a mature person who know that i don't even know you so why would you assume that i'm attacking you in the first place ?   :huh: 

 

i'm not attacking you in anyway, if you think i'm personaly attacking you, then you have some emotional issues, and that's not my consern in anyway, please calm yourself and refrain from treying to kick guys out of the forum wich you do not own.

@@Apex_Predator, I want to say anything okay, first of all you don't know if anyone is a buyer like me. I really NEVER play with drugs, and I dropped my last gold a few months ago, and after that you don't know if I have parents or not...

Please give your opinion about the thing where's anyone talking about, and NOT about "buying golds" or 'sexy paints" and skills understand? You will NEVER know the reason why anyone is buying some things.. Of course you want to stay to reach a high self-reputation reached by attacking tankers who give his/her opinion. Please stop with asking WHY anyone hate this experiment. NO ONE need to tell YOU why he/she don't like the supplies test do you understand that? I shall say just go away and enjoy this experiment, and try to play with your "skills" please.

What do we want here?

 

A game that many people would enjoy. So we can see more and more players to fight with.

 

That is why a more balanced game is needed.

 

Drugs cause a tremendous imbalance to the benefit of 'buyers' on top of other advantages they usually have, like better equipment.

 

I'm not liking this experiment either, but we should be open to experiments or ideas that make the game more balanced.

 

I think halving the power of power ups and reducing cooldowns would be a better solution. Something like this:

 

Repair kit - 100 crystals - 2000 HP

 

Armor Boost - 50 crystals - 60% for Light Hulls / 50% for Medium Hulls / 40% for Heavy Hulls - 45 seconds

 

Damage Boost - 50 crystals - 50% - 45 seconds

 

Speed Boost - 50 crystals - 40% for Light Hulls / 50% for Medium Hulls / 60% for heavy Hulls - 45 seconds

 

Mines - 50 crystals - 2000 HP

 

And a simpler Smart Cooldown system.

The supplies experiment in my opinion is very bad, or it just needs to be fixed. When you join a battle you can't use supplies right then I have no problem with this but if you use a supply then die your supply does not reload THIS IS VERY BAD!!! What if this were to happen when a gold dropped? You will probably die when a gold drops if this becomes permenant.  :o Thank you!

ok for one regardless if I'am a buyer or not.. we do have the right to speak our opinion on this update.., this is why the Dev's put this out  to us . so we can test it out and also give feed back.. now besides that I have played tanki for almost 4 years and have seen many updates to this system ..further more, we as players have given our feed back on how this system could be better , on having three tear battles / in other words get rid of the pro pass and replace the pass  for XP/BP , parkour battles .. if they would listen to players who have given them an idea of what to do then we all could battle the way we want .. first have one as regular battles with drops which are limited and no drugs other then drops ,/ then one for druggers which is more drops and fully the use of garage drugs with no limits .. then for the non druggers battles with no drops and no drugs used.. this way would please all.. now we did have similar battles in the past like this and we wish they would bring them back this way they would get less complaints.. and if you think about it this is what pro pass was intended t be used but for some odd reason were here being test bunnies for a system which has failed again..

 

. for those who are going into battles and staying the whole time and not playing those I wish would stop doing this cause your taking another players spot that really wants to play and can put the effort into a great game play for others..

 

sorry if this is provoking others , this was not my intentions on doing so .. but to get my point across .. cause I still see many battles that I go into and see a player in a battle which gets killed but never kills others in DM battles and others.. your not just destroying our battle time but also doing damage to your ratings...

Don't change supplies system, it's good as it is now and fair to everyone and this one makes the gameplay boring

It seems many hardcore druggers find "not dominating with ease" boring. :P

 

 

 

It seems that cooldowns not resetting when you die gives a slight advantage to heavy hulls and a disadvantage to light hulls since they die more. However, if the heavy hulls spend time without any drugs, like this experiment does by reducing the duration, then it comes out to more or less balanced.

OK, so I think I played enough today to be able to come to a solid conclusion about this experiment.

 

Smart cooldowns - completely pointless. That 5-10 second delay you get is a mere inconvenience. It doesn't contribute to balance or makes gameplay more interesting, so might as well completely get rid of them.

 

The 30 second active period and 30 second cooldown does reduce the amount of supplies players use overall, but barely has any effect on their power. "Druggers" still dominate with a high K/D (I was using supplies as much as I could today and was getting K/D above 2.5 in every game).

 

The 30 second cooldown also means that if you were to be alive non-stop and use supplies most efficiently, you would have at least one supply active all the time and 2 supplies active for 10 seconds. It would go something like: Nitro (10 sec) → Nitro + DA (10 sec) → DA (10 sec) → DA + DD (10 sec) → DD (10 sec) → DD+Nitro (10 sec) → Nitro. Repair kits and mines basically have no effect on other supplies and can be used as soon as they recharge, since the SCD are basically non-existent.

 

So yeah, you either have to rework supplies completely and make something like the TX thing, or disable supplies by default for all standard, non-PRO battles. Increasing cooldowns is not the way to go.

"not dominating with ease" ? ^^ how clueless are you  Less clueless then you apparently. In case you didn't know this is my 5th account since 2012.

Try playing a real drug battle where everyone is drugging and come back to talk with me.  I have played many of those and I am now talking to you. The only reason drug battle might be more fun than non-drug battles is because you can use your drugs to capture flags and points that you wouldn't be able to if you couldn't drug. What's to prevent the defenders from drugging back?

 

 Again: IF EVERYONE has unlimited drugs, then you are all just wasting them meaninglessly, because no matter how much you use, everybody else uses them too. So drugs only have meaning when some can drug more than others. The desire to dominate is INHERENT in drugs, don't pretend it's not.

 

The whole POINT of drugs is to give you an advantage; when others are drugging just as fast all you have done is made everyone waste crystals. That is the problem with the current system.  

 

In fact if this experiment affects all druggers equally like it does, and you only play high-rank drug-wars you have no grounds for complaint.

The only reason you would be complaining is that you get LESS OF AN ADVANTAGE over less-drugging players.  So don't even try to pull that argument on me.

 

Assuming you're one of those on the run to making the world great again without druggers blablabla :P  It's not our problem if people like you are massochists and want to join a battle where they already know from the start that they don't have the juice to beat them, you have all choices at your feet , you can either use 17k crystals to have a fair fight with them or u can just simply use 5k and go to a battle without them

Drugs are a part of this game since the very start, if you don't like to face people who use them it's very simple, * Don't *

 

Yes they are part of the game but that doesn't mean the system can change. They are one of the worst parts of this game which means we have to acknowledge the wrong first before we go about correcting it. And now your are talking about PRO battles, but that wasn't my point at all. I am talking about standard battles, which have this experiment in place.  Just because PRO battles are available doesn't mean the supplies system is perfect.  Do you see how those statements don't logically lead to each other?

 

 In fact most druggers would be happy if they knew every member of their team in a standard battle joined with the intent and capacity to use supplies heavily. For that to happen the system has to change.

 

Don't box yourself into a corner with that logic ;)

 

 

 

But we don't need to go into an argument about the whole supplies system, as I'm very weary of doing that in the same 3 topics for months.

 

All I'm saying is that experiments are a good thing. They show the devs are listening to players. And I just wanted to address your point that the supplies system is "fair for everyone".

Can anyone describe as honest as possible what situations did he end up in regarding this particular mechanic?

Most of the time what happened to me is that I went to attack on full drugs as soon as they became available after the initial cooldown (so I was on all 3 within 20 seconds from entering the battle). If the attack was unsuccessful, I died, respawned, and waited. Usually I waited for the 30 seconds to be up so that I could do another full-on attack again. I would sometimes find a supply box at our base and stand near it, while also waiting for supplies to recharge. It was basically a lot of standing around and a lot less playing, compared to before.

 

That was on Wolfenstein. After that, on 2042, our flag kept getting stolen and I had no time to wait around, so I ended up making one good attack, respawning, attacking without supplies, respawning, attacking with supplies.... but during this attack I still didn't have the repair kit, so often I ended up in a situation where I was on full drugs and about to kill the flag holder, but I was killed first because there were still a few seconds left before my repair kit became available.

This shows that it would be nice to nerf the power of supplies as opposed to the use frequency.  If a drugs-on tank became more like a drugs-off tank in terms of power then people would actually take their chances attacking with only 1 supply.
