^Thanks Flexoo for stepping in and making this Pro header at the last minute^

Hello laggers, today is a special day! As I like especially the Viking and as no relevant guide have been written to cover the subject, then this is the right occasion to tackle this important topic! So further ado find below the ultimate guide about the top weapon of the warrior arsenal. By the way, you will never see a better and more comprehensive guide drawn by a true Viking.

_____________________________________________________________________________________

On the battlefield, the arrival of a herd of, or even solitary one, Viking is meet with mix feelings of respect and fear. In clan battles they are known to be good assets that steer to victory any clan they are fighting with. They often win battle by attrition, conducting incessant quick raids on the enemy base or by constantly reinforcing won ground. Urging Vikings in combat, rhythm with power and energy, they own any part of the ground, as they love close combat melee as much as they enjoy harassing incoming enemy when it comes to middle field support.
We will look at the different aspects and characteristics of the Viking in order to better comprehend its strengths and weaknesses when facing this weapon in combat and hopefully outclass them!

Viking Characteristics

Strong, relentless and build for combat; these keywords come first to mind when you address Vikings characters. On the contrary, its detractors and haters use antagonistic words such as slow, wide and short, to demean it. In term of aspect and aesthetic, Vikings are rough but stylish, see below two examples of fully fitted reporter’s Viking combo, with the whole equipment: protection module, paint and weapons.

Strength and Weakness
The Vikings fear the thunder mostly because of their large body that easily exposed them to the Thunder’s splash damage. They worry also about long-range weapons for the same reason, they need to get out of cover to fight back which then makes them an easy and vulnerable target. Additionally, the other weakness is their relatively low speed, too slow against the potent Stingy Wasp and the powerful Stricky Hornet, which are far too quick to dodge.
On the other hand, they do have they have tough skin which come handy in close combat against Hammer, Fire and Freeze. We could say these weapons have no effect on them.

The Different Levels of Viking Mastery

Protection Module
The best friends of the Vikings are the sidekick protection offered by the following equipment: the Badger, the Eagle, the Falcon, the Wolf and the Fox. They provide additional protection to the Viking, thus increasing survival in battle. They diminish the action of the Twins Axes, Hammer blows, and other blazing and bouncing weapons, and most of all from the scorch of the fire. They are good deterrent as when foes see them they try to avoid them.

Viking Versus Other Counterpart
In combat the Viking outclasses the Hunter easily, despite of similar weight and strength because it is more stable and has more power.
Vikings are only outrun by light and dashing Wasps and Hornets. In a one versus one the outcome leans in favour of the Vikings; but a Viking against a horde of them swarming around, it will always be disastrous for them. Vikings do not venture alone in the forest map alone because of this.
Vikings struggle against bigger foes, but thank god we do not see that many Mammy’s around anymore or even Titan. The first, like winter maps, has been hunted down almost to the point of extinction, and the latter has been declining in numbers since the appearance of the Dictators. Vikings dislike Dictators so they avoid them as much as possible, which is easy as they are tall and can be spotted from far.

Technique to Rock your Viking
The Viking built and stability allows smooth and delicate rocking movement that increase trajectory accuracy and therefore a high kill/death ratio. Combined with power and strength it can sustain a large number of blow and damage securing wining outcome with any unfriendly encounter. See in the video below the skill of a Viking in an intense training accompanied with rocking music.

Suitable Weapon
For Vikings, Hammer is always the first weapon of choice, heavy and straight to the point, ideal for melee combat.
However, other weapon equipment can suit them such as a long-range weapon like bow and striking arrows, or spear with hard Vulcan metal tip. Or at short-range like double-handed Twins Dane Axes and occasionally a barrel of frozen beer and on last resort, dried smoky fishes can be used.

Viking Play Style
Viking warrior display different style of play during battle, attacking hero, lonesome defender or the restless midfielder, but sometime they can be very annoying in their fighting behaviour. The most annoying ones can be categorised in following four types.

Mult: Ill equipped, has many suspicious coffee breaks and suddenly become active when someone shouts "Gold".
Camper: Equipped with long-range weaponry, they can support clan mates from far or defend hidden in a dark corner with short-range weaponry such as fire or ice. Called “Good assists” or “Cowards”, they are loved by many and despised by many more.
Chatter: Come to battle to chat and in a quest of a large audience. Impervious to any event of the battle, they go in the middle of the battlefield and start to chat with clan mate and foes alike. Very annoying type.
K/D Addict: Really common, smartly and powerfully fitted with a kit and a sack full of supplies, they raid battle to kill and conquer with little interest for the team as they work alone.

How to Handle a Viking in Combat?
If ever your path crosses with a Viking, which will eventually happen without the shadow of a doubt, make sure you have a Hornet or Wasp at hand. A Viking cannot outrun such quick beasts, and they will keep them at safe distance. If you do not have any of those, a Titan or a good Hunter with long rang weaponry might save your life. In last resort “Run, just run, don't argue with someone good with a heavy Hammer!”

Vikings Paints
Nowadays paints do not offer any protection, but are either for camouflage, for prestige or special event and celebration. Any paint suit the Vikings, but here below a good selections: Women’s Day, Master of Parkour 2016, Grasslands and Inferno.

Viking Myths and Beliefs
Vikings have no heart.
This is a misbelief, under this killing machine beats a warm heart. They always enter battle with good intentions (to win), they crack open enemies armor with all their heart and they give all they have in battle without counting or asking anything back.

Vikings leaves battlefield in an unpleasant state.
This is definitely not true; they like to clean every places they visit, for example, after a raid the combat zone is clean and dry: nothing is left (Gold Boxes and Supplies alike). They also always turn up for the spring-cleaning to help you out.

Vikings are carrier of diseases.
Why do you think they burn every place they visit? It is for decontamination purposes. Fire is a very good sterilizer, which will kill and wipe out any naughty bugs you have such as Splash damage viruses infecting local Hunters or Wasp, or cold caught by freeze.

They are unfriendly and savage.
They might crash your party, but this is because they know you like surprises. They do love a good Rank-up party and try their best to boost it. Occasionally they also do casual visit to friends in winter times and to foes during the spring-cleaning. Nevertheless, some are quite shy, so if you see one standing quiet in the corner of the map just invite him to join the party.

Game: "Can you spot the Vikings?"
Here is a picture below; would you be smart enough to spot the two hidden Vikings?

Ultimately instructed with this precious knowledge, you are now familiarised with Vikings and you know with what you are dealing with in battle. You can always rely on a friendly Viking, but try to approach an armed and dangerous one with complete caution and avoid a particularly enraged Viking (run, this is for your own good).
Still, if you have not made your mind regarding your sentiments towards Vikings and that you still feel that there are parts missing from your knowledge about them, then decide quickly or just quit Tanki.

Intresting arsenal...so the shaft is for wimen ?try to understud me ;-))And another question:What would be the preferred betweenM1/10 or M2/5 ?for example ...

Not sure to understand your question. Please can you elaborate/ rephrase?

Shaft is for whom who like to shoot from far, and dislike going in attack. Shaft player is not about gender.

I like ricochet.
