How often doesn't it happen that you or your team mates have no protection against one or several turrets? That doesn't make that turret more overpowered.

Use a turret your opponent doesn't have protection against. If the opponent still destroys you easily, then you could probably speak of an overpowered turret.

Even if you or enemy has protection against doesnt mean he cant beat you.

Magnum is overpowered because even if some has protection against from that magnum, then enemy who uses that gun, can make critical shots (with double damage or not) and that makes players hate it.

i'm not saying for free but even if it was a less cost for them to try it out would have been the right thing to do giving staff first rights to it.. where giving certain players special treatment..it   looks like a insult to others .. I do have a u-tube Chanel but seldom use it .. but i don't see any turret coming my way.. .. like i said staff is staff and they  should get it .. but not players .. till its release to the players as a whole..

i'm not saying for free but even if it was a less cost for them to try it out would have been the right thing to do giving staff first rights to it.. where giving certain players special treatment..it   looks like a insult to others .. I believe the YouTubers who got the turret worked very hard on their channel and do deserve some promotions from the game itself. Go look at other games, Clash of Clans, YouTubers get special developer built version of the game before an update comes out, this is just the same thing. We, helpers, ARE treated as normal players. You are accusing us of having some special things with no proof. Please stop thinking we all have secret things in our garage because we don't.

Guys, I really don't understand what the fuss is about.

1. The turret was only given to a few people (less than 10). So few people won't have any negative effect on the game in such a short amount of time (since turret will probably be released very soon).
2. There is no reason to assume that any battle where these players will go to will be ruined. The turret isn't OP - it's designed to be on the same level as the rest. When I play, a lot of the time none of the enemies have protection from my turret (Hammer, Twins, Smoky, etc.) and even though it makes me stronger than usual, it doesn't make me ridiculously OP.
3. The developer sidlob has a super OP 50% Spectre-M module forever, yet I don't see anybody complaining about that. You know why? Because encountering him in battle is exciting and worth losing a single battle for it. Same with Magnum - most players would prefer to get an exclusive first look at the turret and lose the battle, rather than not have it happen to them at all.
4. This was done on the main server because the test server doesn't show realistic results for everything. Just take a look at the glitched Striker preview in player profiles: a bug like that couldn't have been discovered on the test server, yet thanks to the turret being on the main server - here it is.
5. Like Hazel said - giving the turret to YouTubers allows players to watch their videos and see how gameplay with Magnum works so that they don't have to waste a ton of crystals and potentially end up with a gun they don't like.

I didn't get the exclusive early access and I'm not complaining. Honestly, it seems like you guys think it's unfair only because you're jealous  -_-

for the record im not into watching his or other video's , i only watch players who are my friends ...and for the OP well give it time , once players are in normal battles then they will complain on other issues .. on how it is in a real battle .. till then your not going to get a good feed back ..cause your not encountering a variety of turrets / players each player has there own way to battle .. some are the basic and other have a unique way to play...

sir for one please,  how to type my letters .i explain before i only do jot notes or text . this is why i don't do full sentences like school / collage students do as you do it daily , you do have special paints in your garage which we as normal regular players don't have , so please remember that i have been here for a long time and know some of the bonuses you guys/ girls get .

We only have a special paint with no protections. Just cosmetics, so it shouldn't be a problem either.

 

Moreover for the paint for which we get 20% From all turret, hulls and mines modules, that is 'Helper Paint'... We have to work hard to achieve it :)

you also get when sales on the sale price plus the % off combine or correct me if  I'am wrong on this .. but still you get it we don't .. in the past i believe that paint had a protection added onto them ..

We don't get any extra discounts compared with normal players; I used to have a % discount on M2 Freeze because I had several M2s, but I just checked, and it's gone.

 

I think you are talking about "Helper" paint, which used to come with a 18% protection to everything and is now issued with a Spectrum module with similar protection. It's true that it offers a bit of a gameplay advantage, but it is only available to the Helpers of the Month and for that month only, unless the person does such a good job that they get it the next month too. I think it is supposed to be a reward for helpers that do an extra good job, encouraging the others to perform well too.

 

Ethics aside, the 18% universal protection isn't too bad in battle. It's a lot less than any of the current modules M2 and up, and I would personally be a lot more annoyed to see lots of Prodigi modules than a Spectrum. I think the Spectrum modules given to eSports winners have higher protections than that. The specific, normal paints that helpers get (for example, my Reporter paint) just look cool and don't get any special protections.
