Question Eleven: Can you explain to me, the meaning of life?

Spam Master Zac: *Dons a husky old man's voice*

Note: Amazing story inside, worth a read.

Come child, and let me tell you of the meaning of life, and of a time now passed.
Once, there was a being named Dtwali. He came to this world from another realm, and he had a child. That child's name was Vdaswi, and he doesn't come into this story at all. Now Dtwali and his offspring had come into this world, and they found it empty, and as a void. They said, we shall make this world out of many, many trees, and thus, trees were created. And then they said, we shall make people to tend to the trees. These people were the titans. But the titans warred against the trees, and were unhappy with their lot. Therefore, Antaloi, the oldest and cruelest of titans led them in an uprising, and the titans went to war against Dtwali and his children. But one of Dtwali's children, Asgar made people of his own. These people he imbued with some of his own power, but he hid them from Dtwali, for he was afraid that his father would become jealous. Therefore these people came up knowing only the things that Asgar taught them; to care for the trees, to look after the beasts of the other worlds, and to hate the titans. The people knew Asgar, and loved him, and therefore named themselves as a people Asgardians.

However, Dtwali knew of the Asgardians from the time of their creation, and was proud of his son Asgar for their creation. Therefore he sought their hiding place, and found them, and was glad. He set a place for them in the world, and gave them the gift of knowledge. Then they built great towers and palaces and cities for themselves, and had great statues and many gems and gold, and they were blissful. However, the hate of the titans was in their heart, and little did they forget the lessons that Asgar had given them. Therefore, in secret, they forged swords and weapons of war. And one of the Asgardians, Intrith, spoke amongst them to go to war, and his sons Ilirith, Altrith and Inshrith followed him wherever he went, and the Asgardians prepared themselves to march to war.

Whilst this had occurred, Asgar had been away on a hunt, and when he came back and saw the Asgardians prospering in the world, he was amazed. Therefore, he went to his father, and embraced him, and they were happy for a while. However, the titans were strengthening their positions and Dtwali's children were weakening, and their numbers were lessened, whilst the titans numbers had increased. Therefore, when they saw the Asgardians preparing for war, they did not stop them, and were pleased, however it was later seen that it would have been better if they had bade them stop. However, they supplied the Asgardians with weapons, and helped them plan, and when they were ready, led them into war.

The titans held their positions long, and many Asgardians were lost. at length, the Asgardians nearly broke and fled, but Intrith had a poisoned spear thrown at him, and it pierced his breast, and he fell. But before he passed, he talked with his sons, and bade them destroy the titans at any cost, and made them swear an oath. Then he passed, and his sons wept bitterly, and were wroth, and performed a feat that has not been forgotten by the Asgardians to this day. They all strode to the titans wall, and any missile that touched them disintegrated. So great was their rage that it is said that they had only to touch the wall and it fell, for they were still young, and their power was fueled by their sadness and anger. Therefore they crushed the titans, and pursued them into the depths of the earth where the titans had made their lairs and homes, and slew them all. Then the Asgardians left the ruins of the titans lands, and went back to Asgard, and wept for their people and their world, for the war had scarred the lands, and many of the trees were gone. Therefore, the Asgardians went back to their lands, and made the best of what they had, but many were broken in their hearts, and that year many died in their sleep, and many more of disease. Others however, were twisted and bitter, and rumours started that Dtwali and his sons were using them, and that they had come from another realm looking for a land to conquest and that they were hiding the truth. These rumours were mostly spread by Iltrith and Inshrith, and when Altrith heard of them he wept, and confronted them. But though he was wiser than they, Inshrith was as cunning as a fox, and Iltrith's rage had cooled little since the day of their fathers death. Therefore the words they spoke were fell, and Altrith became silent and loth to speak. However, when the two openly began to speak the rumours that had before been spoken in secret, A shadow fell on Altrith's heart, and he knew that if he did nothing, the Asgardians would perish, because even in their reduced number and strength, Dtwali and his children would still overpower them. Therefore, he openly spoke out against his brothers and their lies, and there was a bitter argument. Intrith spoke loudly and in wrath with much power, saying that Dtwali and his children were afraid of the power the Asgardians possessed, and wanted them kept in Asgard so that they could keep the rest of the world for themselves. Inshrith spoke more quietly and calmly, but with no less power, saying that before Dtwali and his children had invaded, the Asgardians had ruled the world, and that Dtwali had cast a spell of forgetting on the Asgardians, and had taken their lands and worlds, whilst convincing them that one of his sons had made him. He said that Dtwali had created the titans when the Asgardians had become too powerful to weaken them. And he called the Asgardians to follow him to war against Dtwali and his children.

Then Altrith tore his hair and wept and spoke long against them, counselling them to remember the long periods that Asgar had spent with them and increased their knowledge, and the love he had given to them. If that was his knowledge that he gave to them, what more did he keep because of its power and destructive nature? For, he argued, they had not been made to war or fight, but to love and grow, and create. Therefore, their war was unfounded and their anger poorly directed. But he missed an important response, which Inshrith did not. And Inshrith responded asking how, when Dtwali and his children had needed war against the titans, they had not stopped the Asgardians, and had in fact urged them to help in the war. And Altrith was silent.

Therefore, the Asgardians were divided, and some left Asgard, and hid themselves, and became wild. Others however, sided with Intrith and Inshrith, and readied themselves for war. Others still, sided with Altrith and went back to their homes, and shut their curtains and doors, and were fearful of the future.

All the while, Dtwali was silently watching in the shadows. He left the brothers to their ways, and went back to his children, to prepare for war. But he talked to Asgar, and bade him talk to them and try to convince them of their foolishness and discourage them from going to war, but Asgar refused, saying it could seem to the Asgardians as though Dtwali was spying on them. So Dtwali left, to make preparations and plan his defence. But when he had left, Asgar thought over his decision, and his children, his creations, the Asgardians. He realized that there was no peaceful way out of this without talking to them. So he snuck out of his fathers house, hidden from all eyes that were watching the skies grow dark.
Intrith and Inshrith were nearly ready to leave. They had emptied the weapons stores and were taking food stores that were enough to last them for many months, but as Inshrith went to give the order to set out, they saw Asgar walking towards them across the massive courtyard, Everything was still as he walked towards the, his head stooped, his deet dragging like an old man with no hope left. He halted less than a spear throw from the brothers, and sat. And he wept. The brothers stood their ground, and said nothing, waiting for Asgar to make the first move. Finally, after an eternity, Asgar's face rose from his hands and he spoke. Not the first time was it that he had spoken to them, but never with such emotion or feeling, and never with such pain. "My children," He started,"My children, why do you fight? Why do you war between one another as though you were beasts?Did I not teach you to love all things that were good, and to never hate any bad thing? Why then do you quarrel with one another as though you think each other a titans? You should never have gone to war, even if it meant my and my families perishing, but I beg of you now, do not make that mistake again. You have much here, and want for nothing except peace will come, but you must be patient. Peace will come with time, if you let it, but with war, there is only pain." On and on he went, begging and pleading with them to turn away from their path of peril and to go back to their homes, and many were ashamed , and did, and were recieved joyously by their families or friends that had stayed behind. But Inshrith and Intrith hardened their hearts, and held a large part of their following with them. Then they replied, with words full of anger, and bitterness and hate, and they made ready to march. When they finished talking, Asgar bowed his head and replied to them "Be that as it may, the road that I see ahead is full of darkness, and if you choose to go to war against my father, he will either destroy you or torment your souls for eternity, for he is a loving father, but jealous and proud. And I, against my liking will have to go against that which I created and I love, for my father knows much, and is more wise than all others put into one mind." Then he turned as if to leave, but Intrith brandished a large spear and cried "If you are not for us, then you are our enemy, and you have no place in our land," and he threw the spear. Now though Intrith was unwise and somewhat a brute, let it not be said that he could not throw a spear. He had been on the great hunts with Dtwali and his children many a year, and had matched or bested most within his first three years of riding with them. Therefore when his spear flew, it flew straight. Asgar turned, and smiled, a sad smile. And then he was fallen, the first victim of the madness of the brothers. For they urged their people on, past the body of Asgar to war with Dtwali and his children. Little did they know that with Asgar's passing, they had lost much of their power, for their power was his, and his theirs, and so when they finally came upon the walls of Dtwali's house, they were weakened and weary, and not ready for the wrath that came upon them.

For the brothers did not know that Dtwali knew of his son's death, and so were unprepared for the attack that came upon them. But Dtwali knew that Asgar had passed, and that his son was no more, for he had felt a small part of him drain. And thus, when the Asgardians came, they were slaughtered against the walls of Dtwali's house. No sooner had they set up their camp then the rushing of the wind was all around them, and the warriors , sons and daughters of Dtwali were amongst them. It was a slaughter, and the Asgardians were all ready too perish when Inshrith played his final, desperate card. He blew a long, piercing note from his horn, and all who heard it were chilled to the bone. And then the hills erupted. The titans came swarming out at them. Little did the sons and daughters of Dtwali realise what had happened before they were struck down. The regrouped at the house, and attacked again, but this time, their party was the smaller and weaker, and the the Asgardians beat them back, with the help of the titans. The battle looked as though it was at an end, and there were only a few of the sons and daughters of Dtwali left when the roof of the house split open; In full battle armour Dtwali stood. And then he stood to his full hieght, until he seemed to be the size of the mountains. His sword was flaming and his shield radiated light. The titans and Asgardians fell to their knees and hid their faces. Never before had he been seen like this, and never again until the end of the world, did he don his armour again, but he stood there now in glory and majesty and power, and the titan and Asgardians, who had looked so strong, fell. And then he spoke, a huge, booming voice that stretched over the whole land, and he said "Come to me, Asgar. Come to me, my sons and daughters, my warriors, my people, my family. Why are there so few of you? Why have you not come? Death? Destruction? Terror? Who? Who caused this?" He peered down at the tiny figures on the earth. "Ah, it was you. You who caused all of this suffering and pain. Do you hear it? Even now, it is coming for you. Though it is still a little way off, there is nothing you can do to stop it. You have murdered. You have killed. You have become greedy and unhappy, wishing that you were more than what you are, and you have spilled blood to get where you wanted. My blood. My kin's blood. And now, you have seen me, do you think it was worth it? Do you think you could ever have taken away from me all that you wanted? Pah! But now your time has come. You have no more time left on this earth. It is here now. Your deaths and doom. Doom from above. You shall all be struck down like snow in an avalanche. IT IS YOUR DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!" His voice reverberated through the world, and the world was changed, but then he stooped, and his sword swung, and the Asgardians died. No more daugters or sons stood around Dtwali as he let his power free. His sword cleaved Inshrith and Intrith in two, and seared their flesh from their bone. The titans he simply shone the light of his shield at, and they perished. So great was his power that the Asgarians fell on their own swords, rather than to face his wrath. finally, it was ended, and the Asgardians and titans were no more. Not a single one remained. But Dtwali strode to Asgard in three great steps, and there he called on Altrith to come forward. And Altrith did come forward, and he bowed before him, for Dtwali was still filled with great power and majesty, and it flowed from him. There Dtwali told him of his brothers fate, and wept a little, but moreso for the loss of Dtwalis children, and the world that once was. But Dtwali saw that Altrith had had no part in the madness of Inshrith and Intrith, and took pity and mercy on him. He invited all Asgardians to come and join him in his house for their lives, if they wished, and many took his offer gladly. But many were afraid, thinking that it was a trap, and they did not go. And others still were indeed excited and liked the idea of going to Dtwali's house, but were did not leave, because the loved Asgard, and they remembered what it had once been, and wished to make it great again. And so, the Asgardians that wanted to leave, left, and those that wanted to stay, stayed. But Dtwali made it clear before he left, the if anyone ever wanted to join their him in his house, it would always be open to them, and they would never be turned away.

The end.

And the moral of the story is that the meaning of life is to love everything and everyone, be happy with your lot, and love God. The invitation is always open from him.

Nice work bro, this is well done. You're the first person ever to get me to come to the AWC, so that's saying something, given I'm pretty negative towards it.

Really well done with good questions and nice spacing between questions and answers as well as good font and colour choices for the questions. Overall well formatted and really well planned.

As for the questions and answers, really funny (though I say so myself). You keep this up and you'll be in the reporter team in no time (though tbh, that's not saying much, seeing as it seems like everyone who applies gets in).

Good job and I look forward to reading more of your stuff in the future!! :)
