My Spurs beat Real Madrid, quite decisively I may add. 3-1

Ayyeee

Hearing that result on the radio made up for the rest of my evening.

One of my friends was going to the Preston - Villa game last night, so I decided to go as well. We picked someone else up on the way and we traveled for hours...

To sit in the freezing cold for 90 minutes watching us get completely outplayed. Literally managed 1 shot in the whole of the first half (and 4 overall).

0-2 loss at home. I think I could have done a better job than most of the Preston team. Awful display.

Any idea why Wenger benches Lacazette in important games? First against Liverpool and then against City

Anyways, so glad Chelsea won against United. Conte would have got sacked, had Chelsea lost. Good to see Kante back in action. Our connection in midfield seems strong again. Azpilicueta finally playing as a right-back again and Morata finally scored after a 6 match drought. Could have won by a larger margin but De Gea saved a lot of Hazard's shots.

I think he wanted to test the Sanchez-Özil combination. Although, it doesn’t make sense, because he benched a £50 Million signing. I think he lacks the trust in Sanchez, and wanted to see how he compares with Lacazette & Özil. If this was the case he shouldn’t have benched Lacazette against MCI. Edited by JlerKaR_No6eAa

Morata had a lot of chances as well

Yeah, I have to agree to that. Both Bakayoko and Morata were not clinical with their chances, while they were literally receiving gifts from midfield. But then again, I'm happy to see Bakayoko as more of an all rounder player, which is one of the things Matic lacked. Not saying that Bakayoko is better than Matic, it was Herrera who brought Matic down with him. Also, can't deny that Morata's power header was fabulous.

He shouldn't be taking such a risk when they are playing their biggest game of the season. Edited by Ambitious

He has had years to see the Sanchez Ozil combination. I would rather see the Sanchez Lacazette Ozil front 3 rather than Sanchez Ozil iwobi. I know it was only Everton, but Sanchez Lacazette and Ozil played great against them. Im not saying if we played Lacazette instead of Iwobi we would have scored 5 or even drawn, but it would have been better.

I also dont get the centerback situation. Why is he playing Coquelin as a cb?

The American team is horrible, I saw them playing. I'm glad they're out. Panama deserve their place.

The USA is better than Panama. Bruce Arena is a moron and wouldnt play guys who are clearly more talented because they werent his guys or werent "experienced" enough. For instance Geoff Cameron, while not a world beater is still a solid CB for Stoke, didnt play vs Trinidad and Tobago so a guy Arena coached when they were with the LA Galaxy could play instead. Or playing Michael Bradley over a regular for Huddersfied (Danny Williams) because he wasnt familiar with the team(because Arena never called him in earlier),a guy starting for top of the Mexican league Monterry (Jonathan Gonzalez) and a regular for Shalke (Weston Mckennie), who were "too young" to be included in the team.  Or continuing to play Villifanna at left back despite always being caught out of position and Zusi at right back over Timmy Chandler, a starter for Frankfurt, because Timmy wasnt use to the setup (again because Bruce didnt call him. He had multiple caps from Kinsmann). There are plenty more examples of his stupidity

Im not saying we would have done much if we made the World Cup, but if Arena had played the best XI who were healthy and was a decent coach, we would have at least finished 3rd.  I know the player pool is limited, but we should still have qualified.

World Cup 2018 Groups:

World_Cup_Groups.jpg

I can't see any 'groups of death', however groups such as B, F and G will be hard to get out of for lower-ranked teams.
