Welcome dear readers to my first article in AWC section! In this article I shall be discussing brief stats of the new turret, give a few opinions, discuss its gameplay features as well as a small guide .

INTRODUCTION:

 

As you all know, the new Artillery turret, code-named "Magnum" was officially added into the game on 23rd of March at the server restart. The well-noticed thing about Magnum is that, this turret requires a lot of knowledge and skills to effectively play with. It is also a good choice for campers.

 

Description:

 

"The real Magnum opus of tank-building mastery. The biggest caliber that can be fitted on a hull, creating the most powerful blast. It sports the longest barrel of any turret and has the biggest recoil. Its recoil can easily overturn a light tank. There is noting in this howitzer that cannot be considered 'the best'. However, the targeting system is incredibly demanding. Due to the high caliber, the turret needs to be welded to the tank hull. As a result, the Magnum is unable to rotate horizontally. Additionally, the turret's projectiles follow a hyperbolic trajectory, making it very hard to calculate where the shot will land.

 

However, once mastered, this mechanic will allow you to hit enemies in unreachable hidden places, at any distance.

To land the perfect shot, you will need an intuitive knowledge of the THEORY OF STRENGTH OF MATERIALS, MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS, THERMODYNAMICS, THEORY ON THE FUNCTION OF COMPLEX VARIABLES and of course, BALLISTICS.

 

If all else fails, shoot directly upwards and run away before the shell comes back from

the stratosphere and annihilates you and everything around you."

New Terminology:

 

Explosion impact - The physical impact on the tanks within a radius of defeats the point of the projectile hit the cannon, which leads to a shift to place the tanks.

Amplification(s) - The time required to set the maximum charge level.

GAMEPLAY FEATURES:

 

Attacker :  ★★
Midfielder : ★★★★
Defender :  ★★★★

The Artillery turret is capable of destroying light hulls in single shot and heavy hulls with a Double Damage at the same modification. Beware of its mighty power.

MY OPINION:

• If you are playing with it for the first time then try it in different maps and get an idea of its angle and charge power.
• Always use a medium hull with Magnum when you are a midfielder or a attacker.
• Heavy hulls must be used while defending only.
• You can play with two different styles while attacking:

  1. Hold the charge bar at 100% and keep the angle below 15° if you are playing on a leveled terrain. Adjust the angle as per required and happy hunting. [Eg. In maps such as Desert or Polygon.]
  2. If you are playing on a variable map [such as Skyscrapers], keep the angle between 60° - 80°, whilst the charge is determined by the distance between you and your enemy.

• For DM mode:

  1. Choose a good high spot on the Map and take a camouflage paint to hide in bushes with heavy hulls .

• Your Camera angle also plays a major role in determining the spot at which the shot falls . Make wise use of camera by altering it with 'Q' or 'E' buttons. I would also recommend you to try " Modeless Spectator " in small maps such as Sandbox or Zone.
 


Apart from these, the new turret has a charge bar and an angle bar.

Edits~

 

1. "turrets", not "turrent"

2. Lots of grammatical errors

3. General rephrasing done where required.

4. Only proper nouns start with capital letters, not all of them.

5. Format for comma is "X,", not "X ,".

6. Format for color is "X:", not "X :"

7. Removed flashing color scheme - besides, it hurts the eyes.

8. General re-designing of the article (structure, headers, headings, footers etc).

9. Plagiarized picture removed!

 

 

One more thing I like to point out is that this is a bit vague -- it could use some more detail to it. Plus, the thumbnail you copied off someone's video as a picture has been removed. Using someone else's work without permission and credits is strictly prohibited!

You don't have to insert a space between your punctuations and words. It's pretty obvious that plagiarism isn't allowed. 

This pretty much felt like a wiki article in AWC.

I'm not sure if this part was a joke or not. As a physics student, thermodynamics has nothing to do with magnum and neither do any of the other topics mentioned. All you need is a good understanding of angles. Which is basic math.

I'm not sure if this part was a joke or not. As a physics student, thermodynamics has nothing to do with magnum and neither do any of the other topics mentioned. All you need is a good understanding of angles. Which is basic math.

I too feel it's like a wiki article than an AWC one . I will record your feedback for future articles​ .

Well , as for the topics , this is the in-game description of the turret if you have not noticed yet , and I think Dev's can't be wrong.

P.S. I made the whole article on phone , all layout and designing but pdox removed the Colors and redesigned the whole article.
