New bugs discovered after the Critical Error was disabled

The game will not allow me to complete missions that were initiated prior to update. For example, I have 3/5 double damage boxes. I collect the 2 boxs and do not get the credit. I was allowed to collect a mission I had already completed. I also did not get credit for 0/1 finish first in battle ( I had 2 first place finishes).

From this new update u can only complete missions in Non-Pro battle

One of the biggest bugs at the moment (although it was there before this update), is that Double Damage gets cancelled as soon as the supply runs out or the player dies. So this means that projectile weapons (Rico, Twins, Striker and Magnum) don't deal double damage with their shot(s) if the supply runs out or they get killed after they fired the shots but before the shot hit the target. So if I activate DD, fire a shot and instantly get killed, then the shot will still deal normal damage.

 

An even more annoying bug that's especially infuriating with Magnum, is that when you self-destruct with damage from your own shot while having DP activated, YOU get double damage from your shot, while anyone caught in the splash zone around you will only get normal damage from the same shot at the exact same moment. So yeah, basically the system needs to be changed so that the presence of double damage is determined at the time the shot is fired, rather than when it lands on the target.

lol, those sound more like a good update rather than a bug if you ask me

An Error Occurred

 

Today I played played on the Lost Temple map with a Magnum player and received the error "An Error Occurred" twice.

 

This error keeps coming up every 5 to 15 minutes every time and players get kicked out of the battlefield and lose their crystals. Please fix this error as soon as possible.

The same thing has just happened to me in the same map- Lost Temple. There were a few Magnum players and the actual game was kind of laggy, but not too much that it was hard to play. I got the same message about 13 minutes into the battle. I'm not sure if this was my browser or if it was because of Magnum, but I still got the error message.

My friend got this right before he was about to catch a gold box .. and tanki has been crashing a lot after the recent update..

Technically speaking, there has been a long known glitch - the "Rio glitch." It's semi-well-known but basically, you can't catch Gold Boxes at all in Rio if you jump from a platform. It is only possible to catch a Gold in Rio if you remain on the ground. I can't tell if Vigi was on the ground but from that picture, it seems that he jumped on to the pile. Regardless, the fact remains that he got an error. I just felt it was necessary to point out the Rio glitch.


On a more personal note, I myself, noticed a few glitches today. 

1) In this glitch, the Nitro was dropping but appeared to have no parachute (I know it's a late pic but I watched it and noticed there was no parachute) It was in Pass CTF. You can clearly see from the pic that a tank has no picked it up:

2) Another small thing. I've noticed this for a while now. It isn't really a bug but I have enabled custom controls and changed my Gold Box supply to be dropped by activating the "8" key. Though, still on the supply icons, it has a mini "6" next to the Gold supply:

3) I've noticed that there's a player from my Clan [Delta] who, for some reason doesn't appear on the "My Clan" part of the Friends tab. It's nothing major but despite re-opening the friends tab, he doesn't appear as online:

I think you misunderstood my post, because what I explained is in no way a good feature.

I fully understood what you said and I am telling you it is a good feature regardless of what you think

How it is a good feature when it makes absolutely no sense that the same shot deals completely different damage to the identical tanks it hits? Same tanks, same distance, same protection and modules.

Experienced a computer freeze, where I needed to use the power button to restart the machine.

 

Has never experienced this before with tanki online or other software.

 

The screen freezed with a random pattern and the sound looped afterwards.

 

ctrl+alt+delete did not work.

 

Using the Tanki online client.

In windows mode (not fullscreen).

Not playing a battle just in the lobby/garage.

​I have found an annoying bug that makes it so I drop the flag if I go to fast like I have this super upgraded dictator then I get a speed box and I start zooming around then when I am almost going to capture the flag like ten feet away the flag is all the way back halfway across the map but still in my path that I took to get the flag.

 

​another one is that when the magnum is try to aim up it won't move then when I hold the charge of it I can only go forward then turn left. 

 

​another which is by far the most annoying is that when someone is shooting me with the ricochet it misses me by like a foot and it brings down my armor like as fast as the wrench box heals me.

 

​another one is that explosions can hurt me through walls like in Minecraft used to but they fixed it by putting a buffer that makes it so when it touches a wall the explosion goes the other way, maybe you could do something like that?

 

​another is that if I lay a mine then all of my power box effects that I got before that time on them runs out almost instantly.

 

another is that I don't reload at all until I die when I use the smoky so I don't use it anymore :(

 

​then the last one isn't really a bug but it is not fair. if the smoky crits me while I am in the air I turn upside down, I self destruct automatically then I spawn underground and I can't move like quicksand.

First off, please do not write in black since we cannot see it unless we highlight it.

 

"Bug" #1 - This is not a "bug" (none of them are except maybe the Smoky one). This is just called lag. It occurs when you do not have a good connection to the Tanki server or your Wi-fi router. Download the Tanki Client on the homepage to decrease the lag.

 

"Bug" #2 - This is a known problem called keyboard ghosting. It has nothing to do with Tanki. It happens when your keyboard is not fast enough to take more than 3 key inputs at a time. Switch the controls to anything but the arrow keys, and it should work. I personally prefer to switch it to J I L K, in order from left, up, right, then down. You can find this setting in the top right corner; the button has a gear on it. Go to the controls tab and scroll down.

 

"Bug" #3 - This is also lag. It can't load it fast enough, and then it suddenly loads it all and it looks like the dude's hacking. Again, download the Tanki client (It's completely safe) and play on that to reduce lag.

 

"Bug" #4 - This is the extreme splash damage from the Magnum turret. It is likely that the shot is going over the wall. That's what makes Magnum special.

 

"Bug" #5 - This is called Smart Cooldowns. Read more here - Smart Cooldowns.

 

Real Bug #1 - I have no idea. You'd have to ask an actually bug-experienced person about this one...

 

"Bug" #6 - This is because every turret has knockback. Smoky has particularly large amounts of it, thus, it can flip light hulls easily. I don't know why you "spawn underground". Though, it does sound like a lag problem.

By the way, the box you call "Wrench" is called RK, or Repair kit. In order from left to right, they are called Repair kit (RK), Double Armour (DA), Double Power or Double Damage, either is fine (DP or DD), Speed Boost or N2o or N20 or Nitro (Abbreviated usually as Nitro or n2o), and Mine.

There is a bug with firebird alteration "compact tanks". What this is (is) that I bought it with m2 firebird, and so I do max burn damage at 190,180,170... down to 1 (after 20sec) so 20sec burn time because of 1.5 times temperature limit alteration. I bought m3 with 4/20 micro upgrades but I still do the same burn damage and same max temperature and same burn time with the alteration as an m2 firebird, even though it should be more probably because as I upgrade my firebird it doesn't update to increase max temperature and burn time as I increase them please fix this.

Do you have the Standard Settings equipped? If so, make sure you equip the Alteration before fighting.

#1 Even with the error where we get option to re-enter the game or click OK, its pretty much useless because you have to re-enter the game as OK doesn't do anything but crashes the game for me atleast.

 

#2 when i try to switch my controls from keyboard to mouse control, the game does't tend to respond to it. To counter this I've to re-enter the battle. For example if i'm using  Magnum is a battle and using the keyboard (ofcourse) and I change to different turret( suppose thunder) ,  this turret cannot be controlled by mouse now. To counter this I've to re enter the battle loosing all my funds.

I have this bug that when im about to captuer flag and i pass upon my team flag there is notification that i have lost the flag and the i turn back and see enemy returnin

 

well same thing happens to me but its basically "lag". It happens when you don't have good internet connection, try using Tanki downloadable client available on homepage

Because turrets such as shaft and rail do not have that perk, that is a good enough reason for that feature that other turrets have to either be nerfed or completely removed. Bare in mind that shaft and railgun are the turrets with the fastest moving projectile/shots, yet their shots get canceled and deal no damage.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you don't understand the issue here. Let me try and explain in a bit more detail:

 

Let's say a magnum shot deals 1500 damage all the time, without double power. So with double power it deals 3000 damage. Now imagine a scenario where I'm playing with Magnum+Mammoth (4000 hp) and a Firebird+Viking comes up to me and attacks. His attack deals 1000 damage to me by the time my gun reloaded from the previous shot, so I have 3000 hp. I shoot him point-blank with by DP shot, which should deal 3000 damage both of us, thus killing both of us. But instead, the shot deals 3000 splash damage to me, kills me, but only deals 1500 damage to the firebird, not killing him when it should have.

 

So basically the same shot deals different damage because the server first does the damage calculation on my own tank and then does a separate calculation for damage on the enemy tank, which happens after I die (although in the same instant), so it deals normal damage because I'm dead and no longer have double power.

 

I don't know how to explain it better, but I'm telling you that this is a very blatant bug and not something that should ever be considered or accepted as an intentional feature.

I don't know how many times I am going to have to say, I am fully aware of what you are saying, and I am suggesting that it shouldn't be considered a bug. Repeating yourself doesn't make your point any stronger...

100% splash damage to self?  What-the-what-the??? :o

On Mozilla, it takes sometimes a lot of time to enter a battle. 1 minute, maybe longer.

 

Sometimes the loading screen appears after I joined a battle. The only way to get rid of it is to open the garage.

 

Garage takes sometimes a long time to open.

 

I could play on the client, sure. But I get a lot of errors in maps like Tribute, Future, Chernobyl, Industrial Zone.
